i only have an iphone because the gf's work offered a really good "family" plan. This is pretty much the best app for iphone...other than that i don't really like it because my fingers are too big.

Yeah. The only times I've encountered issues is when there's a lot of effects (phasing, filtering etc) going on or mixing.

i am going to test it out a bit later with some rare presses...namely these ones (no i didn't pay 100 euros:p) http://www.discogs.com/label/Slowhouse+Recordings and some of the lomidhigh limited stuff...if they get those i will be impressed. A few tracks come back as artist - A1/A2/B1 etc...which is very impressive.

I did have "Dj Producer - The biggest rave on Earth" on my phone a while back. I find it surprising that people were actually scared by it - the tune is not really that noisy :p

it got all of the lomidhigh limited stuff, but none of the slowhouse stuff.
1. Before hand, Shazam fingerprints a comprehensive catalog of music, and stores the fingerprints in a database.
2. A user “tags” a song they hear, which fingerprints a 10 second sample of audio.
3. The Shazam app uploads the fingerprint to Shazam’s service, which runs a search for a matching fingerprint in their database.
4. If a match is found, the song info is returned to the user, otherwise an error is returned.

id love an Android phone but both my Macbook and iMac at home sync perfectly with the iPhone using MobileMe so i have been reluctant in getting one.
i just miss a QWERTY keyboard.. especially in the cold weather & rainy weather swiping a touchscreen doesn't go well together.
