COReans around here seem to be a very intellectual bunch. Threads about books pop up every couple of months and some of the titles discussed are actually very interesting. Though they're few and far between even in the most inane of all threads, there's a quote by Schiller among lulz and wtfs. But, how many books does the average TA read?
What sort of book do you like to read? |

I haven't actually read anything since Christmas, due to circumstances in my life. But I can probably get through 20 books in a year if I have the money to buy them.
And I read all kinds of books. Mostly fiction from any old genre, but I will read non-fiction if it's passed along to me. |

They're books too ;)
Just because someone's reading them aloud to you, that doesn't debookify them, does it? |

well , a fair part of them are abridged. But I guess that counts, that's why I still update goodreads :) I guess I've 'read' like 10 books this year |

Debookify, lulz.
I was reading a lot when I was younger, internet has taken over since, but, I've actually just compiled a list of about 15 books which I'm planning on reading during the next two months or so, already finished two of those - Hemingway "Fiesta" and Jostein Gaarder's "Sophie's World" |

I've been going through my Hemingway phase lately; 'Farewell to arms', 'for whom the bell tolls', 'to have and have not' |

| Yeah, this is only the second Hemingway's book I'm reading, planning on reading them all. If Diablo III doesn't come out too soon:D :[[ |

| I read all the time, i keep dozens of books on my mobile and i read them at every opportunity i get, while waiting at the grocery store, waiting for a train, waiting at the doctor, waiting at the...lets just say that if theres more than a few minutes of waiting to be done ill whip out my phone and start reading. So naturally i go trough plenty of books. On my mobile i mostly read fiction and various articles (which i guess dont really count) but if im trying to learn something from the book i still prefer it being on good old paper so i read those at home as often as i can as many as i can, so twenty books per year... easily double that. |

My count for this year is 29 >.>
I read everything... fiction (Sci-Fi, Fantasy, etc.), philosophy, physics, psychology, self-help, & a bunch of other stuff I can't quite categorize.
I'm preparing for my first novel, stealing creativity wherever I can. :toocool:
Hemingway is a favorite writer of mine. I like literary minimalism. Bukowski is up there too. |
