Does anyone play? What sites do you use? I was just going to start getting into this. Wondering what are good beginner sites and what are the buy ins like.

you'd be surprised how much you can learn playing online then applying it irl. Fulltilt / pokerstars i would suggest. you can try cash tables, but personally i would go for either Sit n go's or tournaments.
fulltilt has a good midnight tournament, 11$ buyin, first place is 4.5K, top 5 get paid nicely. about 1400 entrants. Pokerstars has similar tournaments.
also, another nice feature within pokerstars are their Double up 10 man tournaments. they go as low as 1.10, to 50+ dollars. 5 left remaining all equally win and double up their buyins.
i havent really been serious into it, because i dislike the concept of poker.
would also look into tutorial videos, they provide good insight , especially if youre very new.
they discuss things like, position, usual odds. |

Haha, you spam for online gambling? I've heard that's awesome money, actually, but you can't market it inside the US or something? Do you guys make affiliate marketing sites for that kind of stuff too? We toyed with the idea of getting into that a few years ago :p |

If the IP is outside the US, you can market to US peeps. You can't use a credit card though because they all block it. Has to come direct from the bank account usually. It can, and does make a ton of money.
As to whether we do it....maybe...maybe not. |

The non-US IP thing was why we considered having a go at it.
Is the credit card thing new? That wasn't an issue 3-4 years ago.
I know quite a few people who make BANK from affiliate marketing. Very time consuming though. |

| I play on Pokerstars once in a while, but the frustration of losing to fishing s and donkeys makes my blood boil... I usually play in microlimit cash games like 5/10 cent blinds, or 10/25 cent blinds if I'm feeling ballsy. If you play 4 tables at a time and play smart, you'd be surprised how fast you can build your bankroll in those microlimit rooms. But, a lot of excellent players drop down to those rooms to practice, especially to refine their "loose aggressive" style, which creates havoc because they'll constantly call and re-raise with nothing until they build a hand on you. Next think you know, you're throwing in frustration. :mad: |

It is pretty new. About 2-3 years ago it got the official ban hammer that online casinos are illegal in the US.
Affiliate marketing is pretty much how they all work.

Your problem is you play pansy blinds. that people don't give a risking. NEVER PLAY LIMIT. /end |
