Since "club night" seems to be lumped in there with "party", I would say either Focus or Kabouth's first venture in the core, Club Z.
Actual raves, I came in a bit late - pretty sure the first real one I attended was in Kingston around 1995, if I can remember who was playing. |

what I find funny is that the younger people all seem to start out with some big name international DJ and the older people it seems its just some party.

First big name dj? Paul van Dyk at The Warehouse 2001 in February.
Saw him at Roxy as well in 05...6 hour set, wow!
First party was a Liquid Adrenaline party when I was into DnB and experimental electronic music... |
