People who listen to a lot of music and read a lot of books (pg. 4)

I keep my reading and listening at a natural level. I can read three books in a week or nothing in three months depending on what's going on. Sometimes I'll take my MP3 player out with me but ten minutes into an album think "This isn't working" and just take my earphones out. I'm definitely not someone who thinks they "should" be reading something, and I'm wary of anyone who treats reading as a way of bettering themselves, or as a self-consciously intellectual activity.

Maybe because assuming that other people get sick of doing something might very well mean that you are or did get sick of it yourself at one point..

Geesh chill out lady! :wtf:

I didn't assume anything about anyone. And I admitted that I like time to myself away from books and music in the first post. Is English your second language?

I'm perfectly chill, you're just acting stupid.

That's pretty good mate, but...why is Eminem sucking a black cock?

I change genres every few days because I get tired of listening to one after a while.

Once a week I go to yoga which completely takes my mind off everything for an hour or so, it's unbelievably good to just stop thinking about everything in my life for that time.

Hah, this reminds me of a conversation I once had with a student:

"You like to work out, don't you, Lira?"
"Yes, I do. Why?"
"Don't you feel dumb after you work out for an hour or so?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Yeah, whenever I work out for too long, it makes me feel dumb. I try to read a book after I leave the gym so I can feel smart again, but it never works"

:p

Yeah I use my mp3 on the walk to work/uni most days, but sometimes I'll go a whole week leaving it at home. Don't constantly need music etc.

Take a in chill pill maybe? I was merely discussing why people might wanna take some time off from these things.. Are you seriously taking offense at what I'm saying? are you angry much? wanna talk about it?

Dont start threads in ur PMS if ur not civilised enough to handle conversations!

And yes if you must know, it is my second language, what you do as well in a second one yourself then maybe you can have the attitude, till then blow me
Lira
Hmm... come to think of it, I can only listen to slow music for so long. I like Abstract Hip Hop and Ambient, for example, but after a few hours I feel the urge to listen to drum'n'bass/streetpunk, or at least acid techno/schranz.

Anything under 140 BPM bores me easily.

I've not taken offence to anything you've said. Not sure how you got that, either. Merely pointing out that the things you're saying seem to be based on poor reading comprehension. Sounds like you're the one who needs to relax bro, lol.
