So I finally got a thousand plus tunes that were sitting on my hard drive burned on to cd. Printed them out real nice with artist, track, key, bpm.
Now that I've got another 30 tracks to burn onto cd - I really cannot be arsed with the whole printing thing.
Yeah, it might look better, but it's way too time consuming and so ing booooooring!!!
So anyway, how long did your endeavours to make your cd's look nice last for??
Mine lasted 4 months!!
Just going to stick to cd markers now. Guess I'm just too lazy... |

| Though I actually really like mixing on CD, it's the whole organization/labeling/burning thing that makes me love my Traktor Pro. |

| i never managed to do this properly so i sold my cd decks. vinyl was much easier that way. u didnt even need to remember what track u wanted to hear, it was enough to browse through the covers and look at the artwork and then "ahhh that one rocks, im putting it on". i hate cds for djeing. i love albums though, much more than playing back from computer. |

I have Torq and it works really well. The organizing of music on Torq is superb. But I have nothing to compare it since I haven't tried other DVS programs. I just don't use it a whole lot. Only time it comes out is for wedding gigs. I still prefer cd and vinyl. I can't look at a computer screen all night long. All the years of working on Pro Tools has made me dislike it for Djing.
All my music goes into a playlist, about 12 songs per list. Then go into alphabetical order by artist, then burned to 2 cd's. I then print out the playlist and put it into the cases. The CDs are then labeled with sharpie to coencide with that playlist. It's a much harder process especially when you have the same artists on different discs. |

so many loose cds floating around.
my next dj upgrade has to have USB option, must.
how about... pioneer decks with no cd drive, just USB. reduce cost? i'd consider. |
