I have been playing trance music since the 90s. Tiesto has helped launch the career of many top notch producers in this industry, Tiestos own productions and remixes are top shelf material and all the in search of sunrise CDs have timeless tracks in there that are way better than the pointless stuff people have tricked themselves into liking lately. They still get regular rotation over here. The half-assed rebellion against ''fake popular trance'' from scenester idiots with an adolescent mentality is not going to change that. I like to think for myself thank you very much ;) Oh and I don't give a about glow sticks either.

I agree, when anyone gets to big people start looking for an underdog. I am not saying Tiesto is the best remixer/producer/Dj but he is so huge that his agents and people around him are just going to push him to saturate the populace with his views and music and the teaming up with Jay Z witch seems lame IMO... plus banning glow sticks to be responsible. If any of these TA's were in his shoes 90% of them would be all about the cash just as he is and the ISOS series especially the first 3 were very f'en good. But Tiesto also gives us someone to compare to. If every Dj was like Tiesto we wouldn't have Minimal, Progressive House etc.. So in a way him being so popular gives other people different ideas on how to produce different styles of EDM. I'm NOT saying Tiesto is responsible for other forms of EDM but he just gives off a comparison that has probably influenced some people to do something completely different because they don't want to come off as cheese as most the EDM community thinks of Tiesto as.
