Hats off to the man for being a pro's pro.
After having played ASOT 450 and Trance Energy, he got to play for an exclusive TA-only party, or so it seemed. Everyone else cleared off for the hip hop room.
We really do love you Mr. Dierckx (sp?), and you left us wanting more.
A nice teaser set for his retrun in September.
Tracks, folks?
Max Graham's Sun in the Winter
Plasticboy's Chocolate Infusion
Strange World (2000?) |

This event was a disaster. That invalyd clown totally lied about there not being dress code. Word of advise idiot...if you don't have any pull at a club, don't go around acting like you do and mislead everyone with false information. After talking to the manager he let me in. He clearly stated that there is always dress code. I would avoid any party that this ass clown posts on here people.
As for M.I.K.E's set. Pretty damn good considering it was for such a short time. |

Sorry to hear you went through so much trouble Ang.
How long did MIKE end up playing for? |

90-100 minutes. I expected nothing and got little more but still it was good to see the TA's made the most of it. M.I.K.E. started off pretty nice actually with some really melodic stuff but then kind of lost me with the vocals. It was really hard to rebound off that.
I gotta say, that was one hell of an awkward setting. For those who couldn't make it, by the last 30 minutes of the set it was literally just the TA's in the room dancing in one corner (maybe 25-30) in front of the DJ booth. I really can't say I remember going to a see a Trance DJ under these sorts of circumstances, it just seemed so strange. |

lol, this event was an atrocity.
The vibe in that place before 2 am was so horrible. My girlfriends words: "the people in here make me want to throw up"
First of all, I walked in and none of the staff even knew who MIKE was. I was hesitant about actually paying and going in until I asked one bouncer and he knew the deal.
Then, MIKE was put on hold until 1:40 or so, which is bull.
I found it hilarious when he started spinning, because 80% of the club looked genuinely confused and stopped moving. lol
Then most of them bailed for the hip hop room... thank god.
By the end, as others said, there were like 25 people in the room, which I rather enjoyed, because it was almost like a private event for just us. Plus there was an abundance of dancing space.. no sardine-fest.
As for his set, the beginning was a bit mellow for me, then it turned vocal with a couple good tracks and then he dropped 'Choco Infusion' and 'Were back to stay' back to back which was badass. After that, the only track that shook me was Red One (forbes mix) and then of course Strange World (only I wish he spun his 2006 rework).
I was kind of waiting for him to drop Bliksem, but it never came..
I'm just happy I got to shake his hand :)
PS. It was pretty funny when V-Vaughan got potato sacked and held up by some random, mashed-out dude.
You looked shocked, but you were fine. lol
Sorry I didn't say hi BTW, I just know you from your pic on here |

I passed on exactly what was told to me. They gave me problems at the door too, might be a better idea to blame the bouncers.
But anyways, I apologize, next time I'll be sure not to go out of my way to make sure TAs get in for free
As for M.I.K.E. - great set, cool guy. He recorded the whole set and is going to be broadcasting it on Club Elite Sessions in the coming weeks for those interested. |

Two words:
Wrong. Venue.
Walked in at exactly 11:30.
Well what can I say... I have been so out of the trance scene for the last few years that I don't think I was able to ID a single track except for his closer.
I had high hopes to rekindle my love for trance but it just didn't happen. There were a few floor stompers that got me moving but nothing that really stood out in my mind.
Regardless, as the rest have mentioned it was great to have the entire floor to ourselves once the room started clearing out.
Good to see you again SPANIARD. |

I'm thinking of hate-mailing Danny D for keeping MIKE off the decks for 40 min
Here's his email, for those who want to call him a douche:
[email protected]
My tentative email:
"Who the do you think you are, keeping a highly ranked international DJ off the decks for so long when it's his night.
You're a dime-a-dozen, garbage, tasteless DJ who will never be anything other than a joke. Congratulations, you're forever engraved in people's minds as a douche."
Too harsh? lol |

As expected, last night the venue and the crowd were a disgrace lol. Thanks to the great company of TA’s I managed to survive the first 2 horrible hours from Dj Gino and Danny D lolll. The last track that was dropped by them was Put Your Hands Up for Detroit mixed into some Deadmau5 track which made me cover my ears and almost puke :( Finally, Mike came out at 1:30 and he played until 3. I really loved his set which was a mixture of vocals and slamming tunes, finishing off with a 10 year old classic track <333
Overall it was a fun night. I don’t regret coming out since it was my first time seeing Mike live and he is in my top 5 dj/producer fave list. Im really excited to see him again when he comes back in September :D
Some of the tracks that I remember being played:
Velvetine - Safe (Wherever You Are) (Rank 1 Remix)
Andy Moor feat. Carrie Skipper - She Moves (M.I.K.E. Remix)
Max Graham feat. Neev Kennedy - Sun In The Winter (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix)
Ali Wilson – Pandora
M.I.K.E. Push and The Thrillseekers – ID (brand new collab track)
Jochen Miller – The Great Escape
M.I.K.E. presents Plastic Boy – Chocolate Infusion (omgg this track is AMAZING live!!)
M.I.K.E Push – Strange World    |
