I would say that I am.

I am totally comfortable at Stereo (as long as I'm not asked to grab my ankles in the man-pit)

First time I saw the club and it was very very nice, and the vibe was awesome.

I was there at the very beginning, and Carlo Lio delivered a technically flawless set. Very well done, very solid flow. Nothing that really stood out in terms of music, but it was nicely done.

As for Dubfire, well, I have to say that I thought it was actually a pretty bad set. The volumes were very uneven (going from clipping to 50%), some transitions were simply awkward, the flow was all over the place, and some wtf moments.

By 8 am, it was one of the most druggy and wack beat I have ever heard. Still, some very good tracks slipped in there, and some good moments. But I don't think most people ever really got into it, there was just no sense of control.

It was very very deep, which was a nice surprise actually. But the set never gave that 1-2 punch people were waiting for.

Some good, some bad, but overall forgetable. Which really is sad for me to say cause I like Dubfire quite a lot...

I enjoyed the night just fine. I thought Lio was pretty good. It was the first time i heard about him and i really enjoyed Dubfire as well. No wonder you guys are bored of him, you've seemed to have seen him play a couple of times each. Once will be enough for me.

I have seen him 4 times now I believe, and the best one was 2008 with Lawler @ Guv..

His older prods are just so insane tho, I will never be tired of hearing stop the revolution for example lol :p

To me Grindhouse is not nearly as strong as that...
Ravemontreal
It was actually the first time I hear him live in my case.

to each his own, but if u go see the same dj over and over you'll end up getting tired of seeing him. A few years ago I was really into trance but I hadn't seen AvB yet. So I saw him live and half way through his set I was already bored. Some djs are like that. Take it or leave it, I guess.

I saw Morales almost every month for 2 years and didn't get tired of him.

What you said is true for many DJs though.

I'll say one thing though, and I think this is true for almost every event, the crowd can be split into two categories. The first category are the true fans of the DJ or the genre. Those are the ones who are most likely going to be the most critical of the evening. The second category are those people who party just to party. So they'll go to Stereo during the weekend on the basis that there's gonna be something happening, but who is there or what is happening is of no concern. These are the people, I feel, who don't really know or can't tell the difference between a good set and a bad set.
