Really? I think the Dawn remake is a competent but unoriginal and fairly stupid Hollywood horror flick that can't even out-gore the original. |

My favourite part is that they just *had* to have Jackie Chan in it... who teaches Kung Fu... which is not Karate. ing.
They should just rename it Will Smith's Kid Tries to Act and Does CGI Flips To Fight Off Bullies. At least you'd know what you'd be getting. |
Pampered-ass kid actors nowadays. But LOL. |

I think it would impossible to out-gore the original thesedays. Knowing they used actual pig guts turns my stomach watching it. Needless to say, it's glorious. |

If people just stopped watching all the ing remakes they would stop getting made. People at work always get excited at the next big movie (Clash Of The Titans, Nightmare On Elm Street etc) and wonder "if they're going to be good". Name ONE...just one, remake in the past 20 years that has ever been good ever. You can't do it! Yet people continue to feed the beast and make them a weekend box office hit. ing idiots. |
To be fair, remake does not automatically mean . The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for one thing, was a superb remake. But this was before the remake-craze really got off on the wrong foot. Dawn of the Dead, too, is up there with the original. These are the only two that I can really think of, though; the rest, as most people've pointed out, are utter . |

Does this count?
The Departed is a remake of a 2002 Hong Kong movie called Internal Affairs.

Having seen the horrors contained within your Photobucket account, I can only say I'm disappointed. |

As much as it pains me to say it....
....I would be all over a Robocop remake :( |

| Yeah, I liked The Departed way more than Infernal Affairs, though the latter had some ing excellent rooftop shots. |

THIS! But it needs to be completely overhauled. They took this cool concept and boiled it like that scene with the bacon in Better Off Dead.
Speaking of which - Better Off Dead should be remade. |
