Sex education in schools (pg. 9)

This was an interesting post on one of the articles about this:

Why is oral sex such a bad thing to learn about? Most of these women on here probably do it to their husbands or have done it to a man because he TOLD her he liked it and made her do it, and how informed were you? Did you know you could have said no? Did you know that you had control of your body, your sexuality? THIS is what will be taught to everyone's "sweet little innocent angels", especially the girls. I'm sorry for sounding patronizing, but I work in a gynaecology clinic in the hospital, and I see 8-9 year old girls come in and are so sweet and innocent with their parents, but when their parents walk out that office, they say they gave a boy oral sex at a party, and 3 other girls did it to him too, and that they know what anal sex is because they can't get pregnant that way, and they know they cannot get pregnant on their period (so not true!). But you see this is the misinformation so many people here are talking about, and children are losing innocence at a far younger age due to mass media and communications, peer pressure and internet, NOT because of school. If you don't want your children to be exploited to this then do not own a tv, computer, do not send your children to school and do not let them go to malls or out in public places, as images and billboards/magazines are infiltrated with these sexual images. It is NOT the governments, teachers, or parents fault their children are losing their revered innocence we attach to them, but in my field children are many different people. A different more sweet person with their parents, a crazy wild person with their friends, and a curious misguided person with doctors. Girls especially need to be informed and educated, and parents, fathers and mothers need to sit their daughters down and discuss this because I see too many young girls who haven't even reached puberty tell me they gave oral sex, or had anal sex because they believe they won't get STIs with it. I'm worried for the future of these children, but if parents truly want to take full responsibility about sex education with their children, they should start around 6-7 years old, because many health care practitioners are noticing if their parents don't tell them, they will get the information from somewhere else, and often that place is less responsible, less reliable and very misguided.

From the perspective of a nurse... interesting.

The youngest recorded mothers within the last decade were 10 and 11 years old. If this isn't proof enough that children are sexually active at a much younger age, then I don't know what to say.

So, were there any accidents with his semen?

So far, my semen is 100% secure: no girl has been impregnated by anything containing my DNA.

It is pretty ed up, but its because they are uneducated and don't know what they are doing.

I think this was already mentioned, but in the U.S. when the Bush administration forced the Abstinence only education, both pregnancies and STD rates rose.

We're being ignorant to think that our kids don't need this education as early as they are able to understand it.

Sex ed is good. Kids are going to do it, better they take precautions than have a fantasy where none of them wont be doing it at all.

Also we got sex ed in fifth grade... I cant remember if my balls had dropped by then, but I remember being a lot younger and figuring that stuff out on my own with a number of girls... Kids are curious and when left to their own devices (heheh devices) they will go exploring (at least we used to, now they all have too many video games).
