I hate that anticipation. Since I started my program, the intensity of the anticipation has increased significantly as well b/c most exams are 100% of our grade, and if you fail a class you fail the year. :nervous:

It definitely opens up more options than just a high school diploma if that's what you are trying to get at. But these days, you need more than just a BA

Some people go to post sec just to open more options???

I thought most were in it for a specialty....

This.

I just finished a Bachelor of Health Science Honours at UW, & now I’m going to take a year break to just work full time (currently working as a program assistant for dental services at Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit so it’s somewhat getting my foot in the door…) and let some money grow, focus on living independently and putting $$ where it belongs…then I will go back for a masters in Environmental Health/Toxicology/Pharmacology at McMaster/Western/Toronto.

But ya I totally agree, you need more than a BSc to get considered into a lot of good jobs

College gets you a job and University makes you smart.

I have a B.Sc. degree in Geography with a minor in anthropology...I use a lot of that in my insurance adjusting job.

Unfortunately, in this day in age very few companies will even look at a resume if you don't have a post secondary degree or diploma.

It took me about 8 years before I started making 80k a year. Now I don't think I could survive on 80k a year
