lol I remember that
I had a LOT of slack to pick up in my final semesters - I had to retake an all-year math course which wasn't even part of my program anymore but was deadweight F (lol) on my transcript, and maintain a B+ in the whole year as well
luckily all my other courses were actually enjoyable and getting good marks was easy |

There are jobs out there where you don't need any education and they pay
min 65-70....
Pitiful I know... |
Please direct me. I'm a starving student lol.
As soon as I'm done my bachelors degree I would love to do my masters somewhere abroad. Then again I'd probably be paying out of my ass. But if I had the opportunity then great I'd take it. |

Any union job.
I was a graveyard shift (8pm-8am) mall cop in Montreal one summer, and made almost tripple minimum wage, just for walking around an empty mall/office/condo complex. United Steel Workers union still took a cut from my paycheck for dues, but the takehome was crazy for a slacker summer job. |

| It seems there are more and more people becoming lifetime students. Most of them are going to be so far into debt by the time they get out of school they will never see a day when they are debt free. |

| Still patiently awaiting for my graduation status. Will be a relief to finally have a BA in Computer Programming on my wall and not just a high school diploma. |

I am in the same boat. If you fail one course you fail the year. And so a 4 year program will take 5 years. I'm a bit older than a lot of the kids I go to school with so I don't have any time to waste. I've already put my life on hold for this so this would be a huge blow to my ideal plans.
I just finished my second year and its still very early to fail something. If it was 3rd or 4th year I can understand. But still...
I compare the wait of marks being published to a pregnancy scare. |
You definitely know what I mean then! Failing is just not an option really. |

| I never understood how people who pursued higher education could settle with mediocrity/just getting by/the "as long as I pass" attitude. Although I suppose that's what separates the top earners from the people who stay in the same position their whole life. |

I can tell you why - that's very Canadian way of "aw, that's ok, you did the best you could *pat on the back*" attitude - I never seen this before when I lived abroad
when I just moved here, my first year in university, I found it so hard to stay motivated because everyone in my classes would just be like omg omg I hope I just pass, every time the exams rolled around
I LOVED having competitive students in my 3rd and 4th year classes -it was such a boost in motivation! I don't know, my program was really lacking in that for the most part |

Too many kids these days get their education paid for by others.
I can speak from experience, that every year I saw my debt get bigger, it was a pretty hard kick in the ass to make sure it was worth my while. |

A parent's ass kicking is ALSO sufficient. |
