Man-o-man did I have a really good time. I almost forgot why I was there with the amount of chatting I did. Met so many TA's and I thank the ppl that came up to me about the videos!
I got there almost 11:30 and immediately recorded some of Angelo's set. I like your mixes and even though Kevin asked me to record, I already decided I was. As I mentioned to you before, I generally don't like to record too early as a sparse dance floor reflects poorly on the club. I was happy to see that many were grooving to your beats at an early stage (as an opener you know what I mean).
After I was finished I decided to schmooze and this is where I was forgetting to record K&Y (edit... thanks to v-vaughn: K&A)! I was busy yapping away with everyone, incl. *~LiSa-LoO~* (great to finally meet you) and Kevin's ex... who turned out to be a big Starwars fan. Too much scifi talk got the best of me I guess. I finally started videoing and saw the dance floor was really packed. Kyau and Albert were dropping some really good choons which made the recording more fun. At the end of their set I spoke with Ralph and he told that he had the exact same camcorder as mine and that he was very happy with his. Seemed to be pretty friendly.
Mr. Morton then kick in his short set. What lacked in length made up for in quality (no puns please). Kris delivered an extremely energetic set that I thought was dam wicked to say the least! Nice job Kris !!! I just wished it was far longer then the time you had. We gotta talk to Vola/OZ/Keven to fix this oversight. ;)

i feel the same way about this night. it was definitely not even close to how they played a couple years ago at the docks. and the karaoke at the end was uncalled for lol.
loved the small set by kris though. the set went from hard, harder, hardest, harderest. wish you would've had more time.
other than that, always a good time at vola with some friends. congrats on the 1 year anniversary!

Just thought I'd comment that buying a bottle of Pure Life water for $4.00 is ing ridiculous... a case of 24 is like $4.50 at some grocery stores.
Dunno who deals with that kind of stuff at Vola, but that's pretty bogus...
Great club, otherwise. |

If we were to sell Vola Brand, would it make a difference? As far as I know, all clubs sell water around that price range. Some just make their own bottles/labels buts its still the same water?
I mean I bought a bottle of water at Guv on saturday and it was $4, plus a $1 tip 5 bucks. |

I don't remember paying that much for water at a club for water before, but I guess I'm wrong.
Either way, it's bull. I'll ask for a glass of water next time. |

Ya I don't think I've ever paid LESS than $4 for a bottle of water in Toronto. It's always been $4 and I leave a $5. |

Clubs/businesses has to make money too, as much as I don't like paying for it that's standard rate. Its like saying why would I pay 5-6 bucks a beer when its 1.50 at the store. Or paying 30 bucks for a steak when I can get the same cut for 6 bucks at the butchers. |
