Wanna know the worst part? A lot of the clubs will take the cap of the water bottle off when they give it to you and keep it, so you can't stick it in your pocket and refill it. |

anyway, just wanted to hop back on here quick and thank everyone again for a great night. I've finally recovered (mostly) from a crazy weekend in Toronto, and the more I look back, the better it gets. I had sooo much fun for my first time at Vola. It is soooo awesome that you all have a smaller place that brings in Trance, and I hope you all appreciate how rare and special that is. The atmosphere was great, and I felt that everybody was there primarily for the music, which is what you don't always get at bigger places. I'd like to apologize if I stepped on anybody while jumping around like an idiot, but by the looks of my sneakers, the act was apparently reciprocated, haha. :tongue2 Nice seeing a bunch of you again, and meeting some new faces. I hope to see you all in Detroit, but if not, then definitely over Canada Day. |

My apologies for the late review...
First off I want to thank everyone for one hell of a party!!!!
The first year of being in business has been fun and extremely hard. I'm not sure if everyone knows but Pure Trance is run by my brother Adam and myself Kevin. We started this business last year on a whim in Buffalo NY and moved to the shows to Vola January 2010. Ever since we began the shows at Vola everything has been going extremely well, even though we have one of the biggest clubs in the world to deal with.
We want to thank all the fans that have come through those doors at Vola each month for our shows. OZ and Terence for giving Pure Trance a venue to host our events. Vince and francis for capturing the memories. All the sub promoters for spreading the word for us. Definitely have to thank Angelo and Kris for keeping the dance floor moving!!! Also anyone else we forgot to name... THANK YOU!!!
Keep on the look out for future shows coming to Vola... Everyone knows about June 18th with JOOF!!!! Future shows are in the works and will be announced as soon as they are booked!!!
Thanks again everyone for a great year and many more to come!!!

Guv used to do that with Rev bottles, where they weren't allowed to let you keep the caps so that you could refill them later with water. Made you BUY their water bottles that way. Dunno if they still do b/c I haven't bought a Rev in ages.
My fav thing I remember about booze and clubs aside from the drunk part is I was at Guv once for Canada Day/Labour day and buddies were coming down just before last call.
I waited by the bar for them to get in with 8/10 beers...greatest thing ever happened. Bartender goes "hold on a sec" and pulls out those cardboard booze holders you see at the LCBO, like a 6 pack and puts all the beer in 2 of those.
So I'm walking around Guv carrying a million beers waiting for my friends to come...surprisingly it's only happened once b/c nobody I know has asked me to grab that many brews before...lol |
