A buddy of mine moved to LA, after a while I started seeing this tag all over DT TO._"OFAK" (Out ing And Killing)_
I found out my buddy came back to visit us. He explains the scene in LA and we quickly learned they're into Tag Bangin, Gang related Graffti._
My buddy heads back to LA and a year has passed, we found out he got killed ..._

Yeah, I think in LA when you cross someone else name off it means their gonna get wacked. They cross it off before or after, can't remember.... |

A lot of Gangs will put up grafittis to tag the area they "own/deal in". So crossing them is considered an act of war by a rival gang.....and you know how gangs do things.
Grafittis are also read by the cops and help them figure out who runs certain areas and determine the gang activity and rivalry.
(I watch too much Gangland shows :) ) |

I wouldn't say he's an idiot, it's just apparent that abstract forms of art are a concept very alien to the tea-party-esque ultra conservative mentality (which he clearly posses).
It's ok, certain people are into the whole draconian approach to things. It provides good humour. It's OK to go out and put yourself into a K-hole everytime you're out, but some guy painting on a wall needs to be punishable by jail-time.
Personally, Banksy can do his thing on any piece of property I own. I'm all for increasing the value of any property I have. |

I'm all for abstract forms of art. If the person has the go ahead from the building owner to proceed then go nuts....but he does not have authority to do so....he is nothing more then a vandal....don't make him out to be something more then that.
When have I ever said its okay for anyone to go do illegal drugs. I could care less if people do illegal drugs but if you get caught doing something illegal accept the consequences. |
