Yeah, exactly, but that raises the question of why? |
It wouldn't surprise me if the sheer amount of spam MySpace spouted out was too much to take for most people. |

| Myspace will be relevant for years to come. I doubt it will ever regain it's former glory, given the endless procession of new social networking sites. Here's why I think myspace won't completely die any time soon, whenever I want to hear music from an artist or band, I go to myspace first. Most every band has a myspace, with 4 or 5 songs up. I use myspace to network, finding other musicians and vocalists to collab with. I don't like Facebook, and don't have an account. It's geared toward pure, non-musical social networking, which I have no interest in. Soundcloud is not for the casual music listener, that might change one day. Sure, it's geared toward audiophiles (who can't like that?) but It's not a good mainstream promotional tool at this point. |

I still use myspace some what, it's nice for single tracks but I also DJ and I need a place where I can put that up too (hello soundcloud).
What really gets me about Myspace are the adds, they even interrupt listening to tracks. Very very lame. |

Yup - I agree. |

| Everybody I'm on contact with in music works with facebook now. Nobody even tries to contact me for any requests on Myspace while it used to be several messages a week. Apart from the music player there is no reason why myspace is of any interest anymore. |
