Honestly, i understand the angle of a promoter listing the group name when its just one of them going to show up - more in attendance - but that was pretty weak. Wasnt a fan of the mainroom much as from previous posts and this kind of brought my feelings towards 1015 lower. Not sure what the circumstances are around db not showing - if it was indeed last minute as in no time to even post on here - or if it was booked like that from the get go - so wont rush to conclusions. But pretty weak if thats how the booking was. J00F without db isnt 00db now isnt it? With some producers you can keep the name like rank1 or 4strings, but with 00db that means 00 + db. Least specify John 00 Flemming doing a 00db style set.

It was really just a regular J00F set, though. Not that that's a bad thing - it was extremely high energy and typical of his usual ardor for progressive trance building up to serious turbo beats. I always love how excited he is to spin - the passion for his trade is what drives him to work harder and harder at producing and mixing amazing music.
Would've been nice to see 00.db live though, as that doesn't typically happen in the US and I can't afford a random trip to the UK to go see it. Guess I'll have to wait for the next one around.
Was hoping for 00.db - Melatron to be played... oh well. |

Now thats really too bad! Sorry to hear about only J00F coming, i wouldn't have expected that to be the case! The flier says Digital Blonde SO CLEARLY....
Oh well... I guess he couldn't make it last second?

| yea true it wasnt 00db set even with just flemming there. this was really a massive let down. again, taj, not bashing on 1015 here, just the way this was sold as a 00db set and was nothing near that at all - from both people attending to a 00db music set. and with flemming booked a lot, though great, this was a letdown. i for one wasnt going to go if it was just flemming since i recently saw him. And had a buddy fly in from colorado for the show as well to see db since he rarely plays with flemming now. I mean hell, its a USA debut of the two of them. Was worth having a fan fly down if its listed both will show up. lets just say, he isnt too pleased haha. An explanation would be great. hell, one at the show last night would have been best. Even a simple sorry db couldnt make it out due to flight or family reasons, etc. not sure if i missed that or not but that would have helped. |

I do believe that db had an accident at work so thats why he was a no show, It was quite serious as he may have broken his leg, poor guy

Hi Everyone, I thought I'd better post here to explain what happened. Ricky (Digital Blonde) had an accident crushing his leg and fracturing his knee cap, this only happened on Saturday morning before he was to leave. We where both going to perform a 00.db live set, then I was to DJ after.
Ricky is extremely devastated. This was his first trip to the USA and he was like a big kid bursting with excitement to not only visit this great country, but to be performing too. He's never let anyone down in his whole career and feels terrible. It's also knocked me for a while during my set, as I was looking forward to playing the live set that we both planned for weeks leading up to this, I was really gutted....hence why I didn't play too much 00.db stuff, didn't feel right without my buddy :(
This has nothing to do with 1015 or Taj, none of us had time to explain the situation as Ricky was due to land Saturday evening. Ricky was rushed to hospital and we didn't get informed until Saturday evening.
We're going to organize a return show ASAP, I'll personally make sure Ricky goes no where near any industrial equipment before the show!!
We're both really sorry about this, especially poor ol Ricky, he's taken this really badly as he's taking it personally that he's let people down.
We'll be back!! |

John - All the best to Ricky and his recovery.
Taj came in after JOOF and laid down a fantastic set. He played a spacey progressive track at 5:05 am with massive bass/heavy beat. Loved it! Great work Taj! |

thanks for the explanation. hope you didnt get me wrong john - your sets are top notch. but psytrance isnt that big in the states per say and seeing a 00db set is epic for us psytrance fans. i mean not to mention it was going to be a us debut, but in general, the two of you together is magic.
hope he gets better and thanks for the explanation. on the fan side, as much as it sucks he was injured, it is better finding out it was a very last minute incident and not something hyped for a week or so still as a duo show and the truth was just kept quiet - promoters are known to do this a lot now a days and its pretty messed up.
and nice booking by the way having both a 00db set live and then a j00f dj set afterward planned. cant wait to see this happen with the revisit. :) |

No no not taken bad at all, don't worry. I'm just as upset too. We keep the live sets for special occasions so when a show comes up we both get really excited and spend hours preparing. We have our new album finished and we couldn't wait to play all these new tracks live. It really knocked me for six too, as I was prepared to play after our musical 00.db show so had some banging hard dark music ready to follow....I wanted to play a load of 00.db stuff but kept thinking about my mate Ricky and couldn't do it without him :(
We'll be back ASAP I promise and will make it a very very special show. We'll work with Taj and 1015 on this.
