here's my feedback, trying not to pile on too much tho:

quote:
First, there were people sitting all over the stairs all night long. I almost slipped once and had to catch myself on the rails. I saw a few other people that were very unsteady trying to weave through the people. Sooner or later, someone is going to get f'd up...

I had the same issue, I was surprised too because security almost always makes people keep the stairs clear.

Second, both bartenders downstairs were freaking sissies all night long. They were throwing bottles, throwing their tips on the floor, shouting/cursing/being abrasive/aggressive with customers....

Same experience, I went to buy TheMachine and myself a drink and when I asked for a type of Stoli the dood threw a hissy fit and told me to forget it. Needless to say I got one drink from him and only used the upstairs bar the rest of the night. Too bad T nor Gwen were working, must have been in the front of the club that night.

I start off by saying…WE MUST TAKE BACK THIS CLUB!!! There were so many people that were simply taking up space doing nothing. What happened to PLUR? The level of rude behavior was unbearable. From the people camping out on the stairs, the cigarette smoker’s to those walking back and forth across the dance floor as if it was a bike path. I took my friends who is here from Japan and their comment to me was and I quote, “what is with all the old Asian wanabe-gangsta-types always trying to stare people down?” Seriously…what is that?

My friends and I had the same exact discussion. When we were chilling upstairs around the balconies we commented how weird it was that the entire club was literally standing still, except for the 15 or so serious J00F fans (TAs) in the front. I realize it's very difficult for the club to control the type of crowd, but if there is any way to minimize the riff raff we could really get a better crowd in there. I can say that none of my female friends visit the club for this reason, they just don't feel comfortable. I was also surprised by the amount of smoking that was tolerated, I normally don't get my panties in a bunch over ppl smoking but it got to the point where I had a sore throat the next day, would be cool to minimize this a bit.

Ok here's all the great stuff. The security guy doing the searching was extremely thorough and lightning fast, this was great because there was no line and you got in right away. Same goes for the lady checking ID's.

The sound was totally on point, first time I haven't had to use earplugs at 1015. The sound was crisp, clean, and not too loud.

The lighting, laser, effects were great. Pointing the laser into the disco ball is a great effect. Also the boards on the back wall and front balconies we're really cool. Overall great job on the lighting, I loved how dark it was, oh and the kryo was nice as usual.

As usual all the dj's delivered, of course it was disappointing Ricky didn't make it, but that's fine cuz it means they'll be back sooner rather than later. :gsmile:

spinvinyl it was great to finally meet you in person!

I agree with the standing fact and those who sat.

The issue i think is the main room format. By rearranging it they could really limit those flaws. Perhaps set up another bar on the opposite wall to reduce floor space some? Not sure what the percentage of 1015 sales are that sell out nights, but with the addition of second tier balconies, you can get more people that way and yet create the feel that more people are moving on the dance floor.

Second tier balconies? It would feel cramped in the end, no doubt.

That said, with the alignment of the balconies, if anything major was done I would try to someway, somehow switch the DJ booth the opposite side of the room. That way there's a balcony view of the DJ from three sides.

Can't comment on the night itself of course. Other than i wish I was there.

I would never wish tragedy on anyone, but I am glad he couldnt make it! Now... when they do come back, hopefully its a weekend I can jam up there for the night to catch the show since I had to miss this one. Wuhooo!!
