Well if you haven't noticed, you are in Canada now. |
Although I could see straight people feeling a little uncomfortable at say, The Beef Ball, or Revival --- not that they are not welcome, but the crowd at those events are far less 'mixed' than the street parties/etc.
Not sure what stages / events I'll be going to this year, with most of the stuff being pushed into a beer garden with lineups, kinda kills the fun-time-vibe of Pride for me. |

Kris, wouldn't the parade on Sunday count as a festivity? :)
My schedule:
Friday - DJ CENTRAL/REHAB @ OLG Central Stage
Sunday - DIRTY DISCO @ South Stage
DJ TK featuring Ivana Santilli... this should be good. Ivana has such great vocals.
I can't wait. One of my favourite weekends of the year! |

well that's a given :) I've only included the actual Pride events - cruise, club parties and outdoor stuff
and I'm also doing Dirty Disco on Sunday :) |

you do know that the pride parade started out as a political protest against a police raid on a gay nightclub 30 years ago dont you? Since you happen to be against people speaking out against society i thought you should know. |

I'm against people causing havoc and destroying other people's property, and destrupting other people's lives - did the gays smash Starbucks' and banks too? |

no you have come out against any protest and any comment against police in recent days. The cops used to beat and harass gays routinely. Google the cherry beach express as well.
Just remember why all these parties are happening this weekend before you condemn anyone who may have views that are contrary to your own. Thats all im asking. |

You have completely misunderstand every single point I have made - I condemned violent and disruptive protests that took place. They were inefficient and will always be!
I do not condemn people with views different then mine, I condemn the violence that these people use to try to get their message across, that is all - please try to see my point.
And enough with hijacking! :whip: |

reminding people of the real reason behind the fun and games of pride is hardly "hijacking".
Anyways, please remember the meaning behind these events are taking place this weekend. These people did not just blindly trust whatever cops and politicians told them. |
