i had a great time on this cruise, way different than last years with chus and ceballos
didnt like how we didnt have music playing for the longest time!!
liked how calderone dropped persistent tech/techno the entire cruise, nice big fat builds coupled with in your face breakdowns!! was defiantely good mind melting tunes in the sun :)
for me i had a better time on the C&C cruise & afterparty last year, tunes were more suited and better atmosphere
now dont get me wrong calderone was dropping bombs, it just didn't emit that "canada day vibe" i felt the past years
good times all around regardless :)

This was my first cruise of the year ... and after all the emails / fb / msg board messages I read about trying to leave on time I actually thought for once the boat would leave on time, or at least somewhat close to the advertised departure time. How incredibly foolish of me to think such a thing would ever happen ... :haha: :o
So yeah the boat left about an hour later ... which to be honest I would not have even minded that much if there was at least some music playing in the background. And yes I know there was music playing downstairs. But I don't go on boat parties to hear music inside when its sunny and warm out. It totally defeats the purpose of even going on the cruise. Then to make matters worse I was stuck on a boat with no music with no alcohol being sold until whenever the hell it was that they decided to start serving alcohol.

So is this now a common practice to not have any music playing until the boat is way out into the lake? The TO fun police are REALLY making it very hard for me to even think of wanting to go on another cruise.

yea i had a good time though because I was drunk, shooting the with friends and involving myself in random shenanigans ... not because it was a good party :p
music was kind of hit or miss the whole cruise for me ... oh well im geeving!!!

you could buy alcohol when you got on the boat... there just wasnt any music till about an hour later the original departure time.
despite all the bad things said about this cruise it was victors first one and they never have cruises like this in new york. theres one cruise a year and it doesnt match this one. he had a lot of fun despite the delayed music performance and the junkies very short opening set (sucks for them but you couldnt do anything about it) but for the 20mins val played it was a nice warm up.. and sorry to see victors set cut short.
i dont regret going on this cruise cause i had a lot of fun with friends, sun and a long day of partying/after partying

the bar didn't open until close to 12:30. i know because we were standing at the bar waiting for them to get the "OK" to start serving. so the people that were actually on time (or early) had to wait on the boat for over an hour with no music and no booze.
