It's pretty obvious that those who had any bit of intelligence left and once that happened, the idiots were left. Unfortunately, idiots can only hold a conversation for so long. It's quite sad, really, because the trend would usually be that once people like yourself and/or pkc jumped into the thread, people couldn't take either the talk or just complete stupidity that followed, so left. It's not the opposite view that people like yourself hold, it's just the ignorance and constant name calling that ensues that just gets old really quickly. So what you get in return is a ghost town in that section of the message board.
No big deal because there are other boards that this kind of conversation can take place on where people can hold different views and still be respectful towards each other and the conversations move along rather nicely. TA just isn't that type of forum when it comes to politics or economics. :) |
