stay away from corners with a tv, especially surround sound systems. corners are the worst for bass, plus with the stand, the corners and the walls in general, it will just trap and bounce off of them. also it'll be difficult to really set up a 5.1 system when your tv is sitting in a corner
also mount the center above the tv, not too high however, i'd say 8-12 inches (20-30 centimeters) maybe even spread the back speakers out a little bit more. and make sure the couch is in the center of the left wall and the speakers are evenly spaced from everything |

Horrible. Also never make the focal point of a room a tv. Unless you're a simpleton. :o
Btw, the corner is not horrible for surround at all, especially if the room is smaller. |

ya but you don't buy a 5.1 system to make a room look pretty, you're buying one because you want a decent listening experience within the room you're given. the 5.1 won't really be that awesome if he arranges the room based on looks rather than performance
plus the room is shaped like a rectangle which is pretty good for sound |

Aaaaahhhh tv in corner is weird, don't you have to turn your head to see it? Otherwise turn your seating diagonally as well? If you have bean bags it's all g. |
