just came back... yes i left before HE finished playing his set. i'm not going to give crazy details. here it is in point form
- no room to dance
- did not hear music
- traffic all the way in (10 am)
- tiesto's music was restricted to that wooden deck
In the end we sat where they were playing that house music and I enjoyed myself much more.... that says a lot for someone who doesn't like house music.
I knew what I was getting myself into, so I have no right to complain. i'm just telling you the facts.
i hope everyone else enjoyed it. |

I don't know where to start...
First the traffic was crazy...I left Boisbriand at 10:15 and I parked my car and it was 12:30 (normally it's like 20 minutes of distance)
Then the set-up...wow it sucked. The sound was absolutely disgusting! We had trouble hearing Silence's lyrics. During the set of the DJ before Tiësto, the sound ed up. Tiësto comes in and a couple minutes into his set, one of the big speakers up. From then on the sound was very bad and on two occasions I think, the sound completely stopped. How can this happen? you pay a guy more than 100 000$ to come and you can't check the sound beforehand? It looked so amateur.
And we had absolutely NO ROOM to dance. I can't describe how hot it was on the dance floor but it must have been like 45 or 50 degrees. Ok you're gonna say then get out of the dance floor...but then again the sound was so bad, excuse me, so DISGUSTING that I chose to stay there and endure.
Then he came out 40 minutes late and only played 25 minutes_more. His set was ok but not great. A LOT of house music. Excuse me, ONLY house music. He didn't play a lot of his own songs and I didn't understand that. Every time one of his own songs started, the crowd was going absolutely crazy. When he played Traffic, man the crowd went ballistic, and then after, he came back with more house music that only a little proportion of people actually knew.
So a little dance floor like that IS NOT GOOD for a DJ like Tiësto and next time, get a good sound system. I would give this show a 6/10 only because the setup totally sucked. |

The promoters at Beach Club most probably told him to play it. 95% of the crowd there are people who think of Traffic as the best song of all time and that Tiesto is God. Just by playing that song I can guarentee you almost everyone there was instantly satisfied. |

| Any DJ with that kind of following would be stupid not to play it. |

feel so bad for you guys then again like bertuzz said it was written in the skies, so glad I didn't go ! And I really can't stand the "house" direction Tiesto went since his previous album... RIP. |
