That's the only problem with maintaining plausible deniability: You can never really be there for them. |

If Johnny jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? That's how I read these kind of statements. It sounds absolutely ridiculous to use how someone else would act as justification. You don't have values independent of someone else's? |

No, but I’d his missus while he was gone. |

| Yeah but he's a Packers fan, so pkc is cool with it. |

No, lololol. Sorry, I've been drinking beer all day and only had it in me to reply to that one statement. :toocool: |

| Ok I just read it. My point still stands. I find the whole "do unto others" thing a stupid motivation for doing anything. If that's what you have to say to yourself to do/not do something, that is. |

Well, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Besides, in this case, it isn't a motivation for doing anything the way I see it, but yet another reason to refrain from doing it, and should be complementary with the reason I gave later (regarding others). I wouldn't ever want to be with a person that would cheat on their boyfriend with me, and that'd pretty much lock the situation when I'm not involved.
In my own case, the sole fact that (1) I cannot give myself entirely to my significant other while I'm sleeping around, and that (2) cheating would make all my other actions worthless in my view, make the whole thing a big no-no for me. I could give lots of other reasons, though they'd all boil down to "that's not the kind of person I want to be". But this wouldn't answer PKC's question ;) |
