Is this what trance has been reduced to? Who the hell would use this and for what? It's nothing but a bunch of pre-made synth loops and MIDIs! And you thought NeXus was trance-in-a-box....

On a more positive note, Vengeance did just come out with an Arturia Moog basses bank that sounds quite nice.

It shows off the power of that instrument quite well.

Ejay was doing this a decade ago.

Obviously not much has changed. eJay was always meant for idiot kids browsing the aisles of Wal-Mart, though. This is meant for serious musicians and professionals. What sort of musician who takes himself seriously is going to use pre-made synth loops and compositions?

I know Airbase did something similar recently. I feel the same way about his. I could only see this being used for educational purposes. But by nature the compositions in these packs are going to be incredibly generic so what could you possibly learn?

I think the Airbase packs are obviously aimed at tuition as he has some very decent free video tutorials as well.

I can't say what the Vengeance pack is aimed at though.

Don't forget there are a million garageband users out there who will happily place a whole load of precut loops together and show it to their idiot mates at the mall whle calling it their own 'beatz'

I don't use Garageband - I use Sonar. And my beatz are badass.

So the first one to make a track out of these gets the rights to the melodies :P

Or nobody does, and someone makes a hit track out of them, but it instantly becomes public domain :)

This is true.

But i've heard you do cruise the malls looking for young girls to 'sing' ......

FunctionC
sorry but the state of this, 20 premade trance hymes:haha: laughable that people are gonna sue these to make tracks

I would seriously like to know how many units of these Vengeance sells. There's obviously got to be a market for it. Free enterprise at work, I suppose. I guess in some ways it's not too different from remixes, assuming that some portion of their market is going to use these as raw material from which to put their creativity to work and build something new and unique.
