Definitely, I would honestly that even though edm has changed a lot in the past 2 decades it hasn't all been for the better... some of the early 90's stuff is better than a lot of the you hear today!

chicago house is from chicago and not necessarily 'deep'
deep house is not necessarily from chicago.

I know ed personally and I love the guy, but I don't like everything the label puts out. I especially don't like Levon Vincent's stuff. Definitely good things to be found on UQ though.
Deep Explorer - another label that I have found some good stuff on, but overall I think it's very generic. It's certainly 'deep house', but I don't buy 'deep house' i look for good music first and foremost.
Deep Explorer is loaded with boring . Again, it's without a question Deep House, but I don't think it's particularly moving.
I do like some of the artists though, like Reggie Dokes, Ernie, & Kai Alce.
Mostly I think the deep explorer tracks are the ones in a set that make the set seem deep but never stand out. I think a lot of people buy music because it makes cohesive sets that convince people they are good deejays because the music is all the same and easy to mix, but these sets bore the hell out of me. I leave the venue if I hear that stuff out.
