| One of the reasons why NYC smells like is because their drainage system sucks. When it rains, there are a lot of places where the water will just remain stagnant in these puddles until it evaporates. |

I hated my first year in NY but now I've been here for 3 years and I absolutely love it. It was just much different than what I was used to.
This scares me. So many places have closed down for fumigation because of bedbugs :eek: |

Yes! I'm not originally from FL, but spent the majority of my life there. As much as FL gets ragged on here, I ing love it. :D

Are bed bugs the new basis of comparison for city quality? How exactly are we comparing cities? Excluding the vast majority of things that make living in NYC awesome, it has the lowest violent crime rate out the top 25 cities in the US. Sorry, but personally I think not getting raped, murdered, or shivved to be more important than not getting bed bugs.
/and if you're a suburb type of person then there's no need to respond at all right? |

| Visited New York this summer to visit friends, family, universities and I honestly loved it. Up in there for my favorite city in the world and I've been around. I dunno maybe I'm just a city kind of guy, I love how it feels alive compared to Singapore. |

My biggest problem with NY is the weather and only the weather. It was bitter cold this year. Dipped down to the single digits on more than one occassion.
The cold is long... but when Summer comes, NY Shines! Honestly, there is so much to do and see. Summer makes up for the ty cold winter. Hands down.
There is nothing like a summer in NY - :D
I want to get the hell out of NY whenever I can during the cold months but during the summer - you will not catch me leaving haha |

w/e - people smell like sweat and b.o. That does suck. Platforms get pretty hot too as someone already mentioned.
Also, off the chinatown exit (Grand St) the chinese ppl with their orange plastic bags smell of fish and nastyness - but this is all year round. |
