i dont think there is enough information, meaning lady gaga's career haven't been long enough to even remotely guess whether she will match madonna's career
sure she's popular now, but there has been many pop stars who's been popular for year or two, just to fade away. or she could exceed madonna's career, though that's like 30 years of being on top of the scene which is pretty damn hard to do

i know her discography quite well if you would like to argue. I think gaga is atrocious, but the reality is that madonna did nothing but take peoples ideas that had already existed and spoon fed them to a huge audience as her own.
i saw her last year, she can barely sing and all she does is roll around on the floor. There is no doubting that madonna is a legend, but she was widely hated on in the same sense as gaga is today back in the day for almost exactly the same reasons.
