lol, this song is what made me close my doors to giving her a shot really. I couldn't stand the song and it was EXTREMELY overplayed.

It is enough to make anyone want to go out behind the shed and off themselves, lol.

speaking of rip offs,

Ke$ha's current one is based on that snake charmer theme and a 70s track that I just can't remember the name off:

North Americans love their McDonald's

It's gross, tastless, bad... yet so many people are addicted to it
There is a strong team behind Big Mac, it's the best selling sandwich in the world. Kids go crazy about it.

Only in America.. Big Mac, Lady Gaga... the list goes on

I think Gaga's great. I think she's as original as she can be, considering nothing is TRUELY original in music anymore, imo. It's all been done before. She's an artist, and I respect her passion for music, dance, and fashion. I don't think there's anything wrong with being inspired by past trends, and/or musicians. As already mentioned, this isn't new, musicians have been ripping off/sampling other people's music forever. As long as the artist puts their own spin on it, then I see nothing wrong with it. Unless they butcher the original of course ;)

I do admit though, that I dislike this particular song, AND the video. It def. is way too Madonna-esq for me. But this video is the first time I've thought she's lacked creativity.

I agree 100% So many haters talking but Id like to see these people achieve half of her success at 24 years of age. I dont listen to her music but you have to give credit where it is due.

So according to your logic

What's realyl ing hilarious is that a couple years ago I saw a segment on Much Music talking about racy videos claiming that electronic music is not aired because they are too "racy"...

....ummm there's blatant sexual acts shown in these as compared to the decently scantly clad women strutting their stuff in electronic videos

I loved the comment early in this thread that said that because everybody knows who she is, LG must be doing something right.

.... 'kay

Everybody knows who Charles Manson is, does this mean he's a ing marketing genius?

This line of thinking reveals one of our society's major problems. There's no longer any difference between fame and infamy.

Sad.

Although I think she may be trying a lil too hard with the whole avant-guard image......I dont mind her....Her act is different from your usual Brittney or Christina repertoire and I think she is classically trained musically to back up her unlike others in the industry right now....
