Yeah, he's so unfunny I'd like to set him on fire too.

Buying HS80s

Which is why the original thread would have turned into a forum relevant post

Ahhh. I'll be joining the club at some point, they come highly recommended and I see them in soo many studio's over the years.

I know but dodginuts had to spoil the fun!

So to make this thread useful again, please give (even if subjective) your findings on the difference between the KRK's and the HS80's.

Most people know my feelings on the matter but I think it could be really helpful to others considering making the switch to HS80s.

It's really very simple.

The HS80s have a zoom function.

The KRKs do not.

Within 48hrs of my ears getting the Yams, my half done mix was better (to my ears) than my previous finished mixes.

given the option of no monitors or KRKs I would take the KRKs, but should I have saved up for the HS80s in the first place? Maybe. But then you could argue that I could have saved up for the Focals instead of buyint the HS80s now.

I ramble

It's detail. It's like watching a VHS video vs a DVD vs a BluRay. Currently I'm on DVD and i'm loving it :p

And if you'd posted that, I wouldn't have locked it. Not a fan of these "hey, guess what my thread is about!" threads. They always seem funny to the people who are in the joke but they're just noise to everybody else.

It was about HS80's?!? I thought it was about DJ RANN always being right - and hence why you locked it. It would be akin to me starting a thread stating the sky is blue. There was simply no need to belabor the obvious. :p
