The 'two finger horn' gesture you made to the circling raptor - That did not influence it's behaviour in any way. At all. If it was circling around you, then I would say it was waiting for you (a large animal, sans horns) to scare other small prey from your area so that it could attempt to catch them. Or, it was simply riding the thermals around and around, looking for prey - That's what raptors like eagles and hawks do.
It was not trying to show you signs of respect, nor was it trying to communicate with you. It's a wild, predatory bird, and it wants nothing to do with you. |
