All I'm saying is that if your headlining act shows up and the guy clearly isn't there...to not give a and let him roam around aimlessly before his set and then he goes behind the decks and bombs...you have to show some level of control to maintain the quality of the event. By letting him play while he was messed up, it makes him look bad and the promoter look bad for letting it happen. And it sounds like the set sucked from the fans...so who benefited from doing nothing? Nobody. |
And if they suggested him not to go on and he listened? You have people people complaining about him not going on, and THAT goes under the promoters' conscience. You let him go on and do what you paid him to do, he hurts his own career, not much else. |

Dude.. Lee looked like aliens had taken his brain and he was learning to walk for the first time.
This was at 6:50 - I figured he would be fine by 9pm but boy was I wrong.
I know Hot Natured was in NY last night but it was a Hot Mess. All thanks to Lee.
Jamie was ripping it - non stop. I really wish after that terrible, terrible wreck where the sound cut off - that Jamie would be like "Lee, let me handle it from here"
Would have been an Ace night. |

Before everyone instantly writes off Lee, I feel like I should come to his defense a bit. The man is a professional, first and foremost, and he's been DJing for longer than I care to remember. That's definitely not an excuse for what happened, but in his defense he's been horribly sick since Burning Man. He picked up something really bad there and actually had to cancel a gig in here in LA because of it. Couple that with traveling to Mexico, back to LA, then Chicago and finally New York...that hardly leaves any room for the rest I'm sure he needs. On top of that, about a month ago he got all of his gear (harddrive, laptop, Serato setup) stolen and is currently being blackmailed for it :p
Again, it's not an excuse as I think you should always be on top of your game and leave any and all issues outside the club...but we're all only human right? :p |

Understandable..Burning Man burned a lot of brains and I know some people who got a hold of some "Berlin Calling" style pills and didn't come back quite right...I wouldn't write the guy off completely, but what an impression to make...although if I had to DJ at Rivington and deal with the promoters/staff there I'd prob wanna be effed outta my brain too. |

| I had an amazing time despite the trainwrecks. The afterparty was insane too. Jamie dropped the original Depeche Mode "behind the wheel" and everyone went nuts. |

yeah he dropped that at the rebel rave after party in Miami too.
I don't wanna write lee off - but motha fukers.. I paid 30$ for it. I wouldn't mind paying 30 to only see jamie rock it out cuz I know he can but Lee was a huge let down. So... i "might" just pass up the opportunity to go see him again lol |

i'd never seen jamie before but i had seen lee before and when i saw lee before i think it was much better, so i can understand what bas was saying.
