If there's one thing I'm glad about doing when I was younger, it's experimenting with most of the DAWs available. Makes it so much more enjoyable to look at pictures of other peoples work when you can actually understand what everything is and how certain instruments might sound.
I'll post up a pic of my current project I'm working on. I was supposed to have a decent chunk done by now but automating half of Trillian and needing to play and record the other half live is an absolute bitch. I'm glad Spectrasonics agree and will look to make every parameter automatable in the future.

Same here. I'm a die hard logic and protools user now but my time spent with cubase, reason, acid, Sonar and ableton wasn't a waste at all.
