I love it!!!
Its everything ive been saying for years and more!
-subways not streetcars
-removing streetcars and replacing with buses
-making parking signs easier to read
-SCOOT technology to synchronize traffic lights
-Bike lanes along corridors and only when they add to, and not reduce capacity
-raising extra money through private sector deals
-keeping the gardiner (all that tearing down the portion east of the DVP has done is given us more red lights and easier access to canadian tire!)
And something i never thought of which i love:
Colour coded curbing to make it easier to determine if you can or cannot park on the street.

read the funding formula. Its already paid for with existing allocated money for the most part. |

how?
Streetcars cause traffic congestion. They are slow. And they are expensive to maintain (tracks etc)
How are they better? |

agreed fully, down with street cars, nothing worse than getting stuck behind them and them taking up both lanes when you stop.
I like what Ford has to say here, I doubt it will ever come to fruition when/if he's elected.
I think he's just saying what people want to hear to get elected, Miller did the same thing. |

I agree with your points on streetcars Jay but I still love the way they look and sound.
I really wish they could find a way to make them work... |

i believe him. He has 10 years record on council that backs him up as well. Oh and Miller did most of what he promised to do as well and much more. The problem is that no one paid attention during the campaign. He never tried to hide that he was a champagne socialist in the least! |

they are cool in that sense. But nostaligia isnt worth destroying our economy, not in this case. But at least we would still have them on spadina queens quay and st clair. |
