i think the whole argument has been generally awful, from all sides.
probably 3 possible cases, all dependent upon who posted "dumb":
1. a well-known poster in the cor - either it's ignored or ppl respond with ":tongue2 "
2. a new user - maybe gets flamed if somebody's in a bad mood...most likely gets ignored
3. somebody the cor doesn't like for whatever reason - instantly gets flamed by multiple ppl.
it's just stupid, that's all |

You're very good at proof-by-assertions and not so good at justifying yourself. Is it an idiotic analogy because in a bar you aren't safely hidden behind a computer screen and so have to think more carefully about annoying people?
The social difference between this forum and a bar is primarily that more strangers can eavesdrop on a discussion and then make assumptions about people's motivations. I'm sure it looks like one small-time producer is hitching onto a bigger name by making fun of him, but last time Jake did this he mashed up some African preacher guy. Why aren't you in the DiCaprio chop thread giving your expert humour rating to each individual chop in there? It's pretty blatant you've got more an agenda that just voicing a floating "opinion" on a joke, but you don't want to admit to it. |
