K time for my long and boring review
Got to Brum around 11:20
Went to and meet everyone, paid 20 p for a piss in the bogs first, on the way out of the bogs I saw Ste (Dumonde Trancer), gibbo, Luke (project T) and Charlotte, we had a quick chat and countinued walking around New Street, where we reached a pub inside that pub was the two Scouse Taffy Scallies Mike (Raveape) and Acton, so we had a quick pint and a chat, and went to find Simmo (Jon Simmonds), We found Simmo who was with PSi and Wiley, we made our way then to Snow Hill after walking through Brum, we had a laugh and everything and got the train, we had a good ole chat on the train talking about random stuff and managed to get to Stratford we're we got a bus to GKGG.
GKGG we're there, awaiting us by some wire fence with a field of sheep behind it was Fly, we then walked to where everyone else was, there at a car was Toby (kinuvan) Happy Dropper, and Cyber Teraz, + two sacks of tesco value spuds, we all have a laugh then Ste and Toby build a potato chimney which theres photo's of, everyone is very intrested in the masterpiece of modern architechture and a small crowd gather including two coppers who watch it being made for a bit, Then Jeff (tu_face), Nita (Rainbowbrite), Fray (GoldenarmZ), Jason (Volksjoolz), Sykadelic and Tim (Trigax) turn up mint more UKTAs had arrived, we have a laugh and look at the chimney, then some stickers come out and we all get plastered in them, Wicked Neo then turns up, everyone has a long chat, and Neo makes an Irish joke about the spuds to me hahaha. We then headed towards to que, we qued for a bit, then noticed there was sniffer dogs ! we thought, but once we got in the dog only had a small sniff and pissed off, then a search, then we were in.
We made our way to the main Arena where AJ Gibson was warming up, then Marco V came on by this minute Az comes over with Kiddie John and his girfriend Marco V played a wicked set, he played indicator and Simulated and of course his Remix of Cafe Del Mar. Next up was John '00' Fleming I'd had some whizz during Marco V, and it started kicking in what a wicked set it started deep, but then fleming unleashed everything in his arsenal at us in the last hour it was fantastic we were all dancing away like nutters Jo (Sexy Trancer) and her mate Tom (Slinky Kid) arrive, then we see Josh (choon Spinner) Dave (DaveC) come in with their girlfriends have a chat and a big dance. Then its off to the Gallery Arena, here we meet up with Redeye, Twilogoddess, Dj Mdma, Will Eastbury, and tatgirl we have a couple of pictures taken, then headed in for Signum, my arm though starts to go numb as I dance so I have a rest and chat people to death about I dunno, I actually dunno what the I talked about at that point haha but Signum were good, Dumonde then stepped up we all moved to front of the arena dancing away Dumonde were well good to start with then NO NO NO, they put on Zombie Nation Straight away Jeff, Fray, PSi, Tim and Neo say their off to go and watch Digweed, the horrible fact of what was happening was the crowd enjoyed Zombie Nation I froze still, while Nita looked totally shocked, a couple of the others at the front looked shocked to, after that horrible track Dumonde played Never Look Back, God Music and made up for the Zombie Nation scene all was good then :). By now it was 10ish and Spad said he was at the que so we waited for Spad, it was wicked to see Spad, cos even when one person isn't there, the meetups lose a certain part of it, we all had a chat and went to chill out near the Sundissential arena, there was some off lasers shining upwards we all chilled there on the grass it was really cool to have a chat, A couple of people left with Claire to go in the Sunny D arena for a dance, while most of us sat down, after that we made our way to the Gallery and caught a bit of Ferry Corsten, then me, Jeff, Jason, Neo, Tim, PSi, and Cyber Teraz went to go and see Armin Van Buuren in the main arena , suddenely out of the mist some thing appears on stilts Jason says ing hell what is that, I swear it was Predator from the film complete with them laser dot sight things I thought someone was going to appear with a hole through them lol, Armin played a ing blinder of set. Then we grouped up at the chillout bit and a group of us went to the Gallery to Catch some of Guy Ornadel, we got there and Ornadel was playing quite a hard set it was quite mint, we then caught a fair bit of John Kellys set, and then made our way to catch Picotto in the main arena, however a numbers sort of died at that point the only TAs in the main arena was Me, Jeff, Nita, Fray, Spad, Tim, Toby, Cyber Teraz, and Happy Dropper I sat down for the start of Picotto, and some girl who I think knew Teraz, or Dropper called Rhiann or Rhiannon came along, and randomly chatted with us, Jason turned up with his mate Gareth during Picotto's set, Picotto was brilliant as usual, we all made our way to the Gallery to catch Joy Kikitoni he was quite weird but he scratched and I quite liked it plus good point was everyone else was in the Gallery arena who I thought we'd lost which was wicked. when caught a bit of Gielen who seemed good then went off to go and and watch Scot Project, who as Mike said played a bit of a usual set but it was good.
the the trek home we got a bit messed here as we'd lost wiley and we thought the tickets were in Droppers car, so we were a bit morried and messed, so we all start chatting me and Acton start getting gobby again, we then decide to leave, we walk past what I would call the most helpful ING STEWERD IN THE WORLD! we ask him where are the buses he says oh their terrible you probably won't get one at all, and stratfords a half an hour walk, we ended up ing walking 5 miles back to Stratford, through the poshiest place I've ever been and got the train back in which we all feel to sleep and woke up at Birmingham Moor Street station once we reached New Street I found out I had to get a Bus to Birmingham NEC and wait for 15 minutes, then to Coventry, then get another Bus to Rugby then a train to Northampton I got home at about 2:30 pm, and went to BBQ got home and went to bed at about 9 pm.
HAHAHAH What a ing day due to walk I had trench foot half my feet are peeling off, plus my grion area has chapped skin now due to sweat, and my gonads were like ing mango's when I got back, I walked as if I was John Wayne or as if someone and wedge a lightbulb up my arse hahha.
Best Part of the night - Seeing all the TAz and have a ing laugh.
Funny Parts - Walking through probably the most nicest poshiest area of the UK, with tops off, swearing, and Mike n Acton and Me talking about stealing one of the boats and going down river.
-Having a laugh with all the TAs.
-The Journey to Godskitchen Me and Acton being bastards getting all gobby on the bus down I never realised I upset people so much as the whole bus was practicially looking at us all.
Shocking Parts - Zombie Nation being played by Dumonde our faces were a complete picture.
Weirdest Parts - Seeing a fight during Scot Project I know you get fights it was weird as they both ended up in a massive heap on top of each other
-Bloke getting kidnapped by a member of the security staff, I dunno what this bloke had done but the security guard was dragging him backstage, then a big security guard helped the other guard out and lauched the bloke inside.

Jeff - Wicked to see you again mate, had a right laugh with you lot, and I aim to be at Crasher in September to see you lot. Thanks for sorting everything out, and I hope to you again soon.
Nita - Wicked to see you again too, it was great to see you lot all again, and it was funny during Zombie Nation aswell as shocking haha and the photos when I seem to be gurning and pulling a face I hope theres not many like that on the camera.
Jason - hahah Predator thing on stilts came after you lol, good to see you again mate, you didn't do the pole vault to get in that chat about security was good and you looked shocked when I suggested Herbie should ram raid the fence to get in, hope to see you again also good to meet you mate Gareth or Gavin too.
Fray - It was good to see you mate, at midnight you didn't look like you were to well, but I saw u pulled through and was at Picotto and up and dancing.
Spad - Wicked to see you again mate, it was good you got there, hope u did well in the interview today aswell mate, I will be seeing u at Crasher in September hopefully.
Ste - hahaha it was sound old day GKGG, good to travel down with you aswell we had a laugh, and that walk back talk about mental, especially the trek through stratford upon Avon :stongue:, it was cool to meet your mate Charlotte aswell.
Simmo - In was mint to finally meet you mate, thanks for planning it so we all met up a New Street aswell I don't think it would of happened if it weren't for you guiding everyone through Brum, had some laughs aswell, I still think you should of flogged them sarnies at the end to people who had the munchies.
Mike - hahaha Observation Post, it was good to see you again and I had a laugh especially that convo afterwoods about the blantetly obvious, I hope to see you again.
Acton - Well well, your doing well at winding me up, and trying to get me in a temper hahaha, nah its all good, we had a right laugh, I think at times me and you got gobby especially on that bus taking the piss out of everything, the whole bus was looking back at our lot.
Gibbo - Good to meet you aswell mate, you seemed like you had a wicked time, and that was a wicked conversation we had on the way back about the event.
Fly -hahaha Burger King, I didn't see you loads mate, but still it was good to see you and to see you were having a good time, also my wisdom of directions whislt in a ed up state proved helpful to find us during Picotto so that was good.
Toby - You were a good laugh there, I enjoyed the convo about Dukes and why we don't have them no more, we will never find out why the duke of shorpe was so important no more lol.
Luke - its wicked that I finally met you, sound bloke, hope you had a wicked night and I hope to see you again, and next time don't worry me and Acton will be as twice as bad then.
Az- wicked to see you mate, I had some good convo's with you even though I didn't see you around all so much, I hope to see you out again too.
Sy - Good to see you again mate, I had a laugh, I think your the best of finding people out of the lot us, as you always seemed to find us in the end, hope to see you again.
Psi - Mint to see you again mate, hope your feet are ok, my feet look like I have trench foot now hahaha, but I hope you had a wicked time and enjoyed seeing the prog Djs you were really enjoying yourself during John '00' btw no problem to carry your bag mate you looked like you were in pain on the way back.

Cyber Teraz - Don't think there was ever a time I'd never seen you stop dancing even when we were stoud away from the arenas outside you were still dancing away, I hope to see you again.

The Story...
In The Beginning...
Got up well early to do my hair, and basically woke up my sis well early to help me do it.Was well annoyed that I didn't have much gel left, but amazingly, I had JUST enough. Scraped together enough colour sprays from LP 2oo2 to give me a tight hairdo! The sticker that Cyber Teraz gave me (Bad Hair Day) summed up me hair. (with bad meaning good of course ;) )
So anyways, I left to meet up with Izzy, Bengi and Natalie (Tatgirl) at London Bridge, which was where they were staying. The plan was to move onto the hotel where Ian and Daphna (Redeye and Twilogodess) were staying and move onto Kings Cross to meet Elixir and his brother. It had been a mission for natalie to get thru to me cos my phone was being dodgy on Friday when I had scheduled dinner with them. Eventually I got the messages and scheduled a meet up at the Orient Expresso cafe, which was part of the hostel they were staying in.
So I get there, and I thought no one was there. So I waited in teh back room for a bi and it was getting pretty boring and I ordered a cofee. As I was doing it, someone says "LAM?" and I turn around and Izzy and Bengi were sitting at the front of the shop. for some reason I didn't spot them and they didn't spot me! and u know I looked like a target with my mad t shirt on! They spotted me from the green " GG" I had on the back of my head.
Natalie was on her way, and we met up said hi, etc etc. and we made our way to Kings Cross. Fortunately, Ian and Daphna had a hotel really close to Kings Cross and they arranged to meet there. We got there and we had gathered more foreign TA's to take to GKGG. WE then made our wasy to the buses and met Boris and Mattiash and were sorted.
The excitement was runnign thru our blood as the coach departure time got closer. And closer. and closer. But the feeling faded as the coaches didn't arrive. after 20 minutes we're were getting ing pissed that the coaches weren't there! Especially cos it was hot as hell! but they came, and we got on. And unfortunately we must have been on some old banger of a coach cos it never got passed 50 Mph. :whip: :whip:
And then I thought we'd arrived, when we had actually turned up at a really clean service station! Sorry to the geezer I phoned at about 3 telling him that we'd arrived when we were still a mile away.
Natalie came out and said she'd seen Armin at the stop. We rushed back in to try and find him, but none of us were willing to search teh loos. :p
Then the coach driver suddenly decides to turn a 20 min stop to a 45 min stop. ! That didn't help things!
Then we got lost!
And then after nearly getting the airfield, we find ourselves behind some ing traffic. ARSE!
So we got the Gathering almost 2 hrs late. So unfortunately we couldn't introduce ourselves fully, to the UKTA when we met.
Ian and Daphna were PISSED that they'd missed MArco V, as they were really looking forward to seeing him. I think he's at DAncevalley tho, so we'll definately see him there :)
I kept on getting phonecalls from enough random people asking me where I was. Eventually I located one of them : Will Eastbury :)
He introduced us to his mates, and he then led us to the rest of the UKTA's........
An Experience to Remember
I think we decided to meet outside the Gallery tent. HOW MANY OF US WAS THERE?! :cool:
I remember saying hi to everybody that I recognised, especially the famous Ste and Jeff, those were definately the peeps that the US peeps wanted to meet. Me too of course :)
Everyone was in a mint mood, and said hi to me. Thanx for the hair comments :D
So we went in to see Signum. And the first tune I remember was Solid Sessions - Janeiro (AvB mix). BLINDER. Everyone was doing there wicked swirly hand thingy dance. Cyber Teraz and Ste were blowing the place apart!
The next memorable tune was that Project Medusa Vs Exor - Moonshine (or something) cos it was one of the main tunes of the Love PArade.
and then he played Carte Blanche. in the words of Starfox... OMG I DIE. that was a CHOON! The happiness flooded over me. Then I went mental! :D
And then Dumonde were next. I'd been waiting for YONKS to hear them live and plug their own tunes ;) And it was definaately worth the wait. All I wanted to hear was Trauma. and i heard it... my life is now complete. All I need to do is hear the Tiesto mix of Flesh live. But anyway, Dumonde played there top tunes and it was all good. I didn't even mind Zombie Nation as I hadn't heard it in ages and it brought back memories of the 1st UK Love Parade. :)
Natalie has Nita going mental about Dumonde playing Zombie Nation on tape. Now I just need to work out how to upload it...
It was mint when Dumonde came down to say hi to u guys, what a cool bunch of friends to have!
There was nothing good on next, so me, ian, daphna and natalie went ot get a bit of food and chill outside Oakey's tent. Some how we found Wiley and he stayed with us too. Ferry was next so we decided to go and see him. Somehow we found all the UK peeps again! The dropping of Ligaya was also a massive highlight of the night. But for some reason, I began to find his set a bit boring and I think us lot left you to go and see a bit of Armin. But we didn't cos the tent was mega packed and we feeling a bit tired, again. Not me tho, cos I'm a hardcore nutter with a 65 hr bitch under me belt ;)
Natalie went off to get pics and find Joy Kitikonti. she said she meet us in the tent again. I think she came back to Ferry's tent halfway thru... and guess what? she had bought Joy with her. WICKED
So I cahtted with them for a bit and got a great picture of me and Joy, which I'll post up (Hosting ne body ;) )
There was nothing of too much interest after Armin's sounds, and we went into the Techno tent to see Speedy J. Ian wanted to see Umek, but he was late and we left as he was getting on, to go and see MAuro. But the tent was too packed to even get in so we raved outside it. :)
We made our way back to Gallery to see Joy. We got her attention and she got some good footage of us from the stage. She had some really funny footage of Joy too. His facial expressions are a picture! His DJ ing is great too. Great use of Echo whilst he was doing some mental scratching with his Joy Energizer Sample. Made his set a LOT more interesting.
Then Gielen showed himself! And started off with a blinder for 5 am. Good old Ligaya :) We stayed for a little bit and then we lost Natalie as she was chilling with the VIPs ;) and we went to see Scot Project. But I think somebody needed a piss at this point so we waited around the toilets. And who do we bump into?????
Nita and Spad! Well actually, I saw Nita first. :D And then I saw this bloke next to her who looked vaguely familiar, then I thought I knew who this is!
They were also on their way to see Scot Project, and came with us, but as soon as we walked into the tent, they mysteriously vanished, and we didn't see them again. WE met up with some of the other TA's, the only one I can remember is that fit girl with the glasses and short hair, and Calla. I was really happy that Hands Up was played and was well up for raving in the morning. otherwise I probably would have fallen asleep right there and then.
Natalie caught up with us again, and then the tunes finished. At that point I'd missed absolutely everybody, and then we decided to make a move back to the car park. AT this point, Wiley caught up with us again, cos I think he'd also lost u guys. I swear I only saw the entire UKTA bunch for 5 minutes tops. :( We'll have to meet up again, and the next time, I 'll be early so I can get to know u nutters better!

We found the coach in the end mate, for some odd reason the coach was actually parked really near to the actual Gathering, thus it was right at the end of the airfield, so we couldn't find it. Fortunately this woman was also in the same predicament, and (although there were loads of peeps that were o the same coach) she was sufficintly non ed to try and locate where it was thru Event Xpress. So we found it and we were on the way home! YES!

haha the fight during Scot Project was well odd, I can't even fully remember it, like two people started then they were on the floor rolling around the people who they landed on had a go, then about 10 more people got involved it was oddest fight I've ever seen, it was so quick aswell, the security guards split them up and that was it one lot left the arena the other lot stayed.
Still though its the relaxed attitude towards sportswear and shermans that unfortunatly leads to stuff like this happening, it attracts scallies, they should allow trainers and sporty fleeces, not shellsuits and nasty YSL and fred perry tops, but after all GK want profit and theres always going to be wankers at events causing trouble.
It was better then GCSSS but however the atmosphere wasn't as good, and there was vastly more scallies and beer boys which I was seriously suprised about. |

It was generally agreed that if my face did get into any pics, it would not be posted, i thought i did so well too avoiding all the camera's even when tatgirl grabbed both my arms and man handled me into the general direction of a lens, OMG that girl has some strength !
Anyway I hereby officially request that U do not post any pics containing me as i have this horrible phobia of my face being on the internet, thanx :)
Oh and it was cool to meet u, even thou it was brief, your hair with the deely bopper things was amazing :eyes:
