| Nice! When you say "we just got one", are you referring to a studio that you work at? Which configuration did you get? |

yessir!
here's a screen of what it looks like (not ours, blue man groups custom):
other night, we test recorded vox into the neve pre's, out the pre's we go into a distressor then into a chandler emi12345. it sounds so damn amazing! i cannot wait to make love to that board again
we got a 32 channel with shadow mixing. records automation straight into pro tools from the board. i've been really used to automating via flying faders computers, it annoyed me at times but now, straight into tools. rupert neve should be granted eternal life by whatever higher power exists.
a bunch of portaco modules, some which they're switching up soon for the specs that are needed for the room |

we just got one too :)
hella easy to understand and it's pretty straightforward. lovely sound and the signal to noise ratio is pretty damn good.
it's the biggest one NEVE has built so far. expandable to 64 channels but we got 56 in right now. just ordered the rest of the modules to fill up the penthouse and gonna get the rest of the faders soon.
cheeeeeee hoo! :D |

hell yea!
man it is a sexy board. easily one of the most beautiful boards ever created. they were debating the 5088 or the api 1608. thank god they went rupert! :D
as much as i love api/trident boards, neve takes the cake any day |

lol my bosses were debating over an api too. but essentially, the 5088 seemed much more of a better idea with the future in mind since the way it combines the analog and digital realms is pretty awesome.
hope you guys are getting plenty of sessions to put it to work :D |

Congrats Man, beautiful desk, but what do you mean by that sentence? I think you mean you mean just flying faders to control the output of the desk channels itself and then recording the output in to tools rather than printing the automation data straight on to tools?
That desk is truly lovely - we used the neve pre modules at the studio (you know where ;) ) and they are always the pres that the really nice mics go on (the vintage Neumans, Gefels, Schoeps and Royers etc) and the rest have to go in to the MC-5 desk pres.
It's a shame but there's just no option to go Neve on the desks because we'd always max out the 264 channels that we have let alone trying to work on 32 or 64. |

| yes that's what i meant. i have still to every see that big of a board in person. i have a 100+ chan gig coming up for the snoop project, but, that'll be 2 or so engineers. can't even imagine 264...that's sounds just ridiculous. the patch must be giant |
