Got to MM around 5 p.m., hardly any traffic, parked on the first floor of the USC structure near Jefferson, and was inside within a half our using the North entrance with my GA ticket (screw VIP after spending extra for the inconvenience at EDC!)

Once inside the Sports Arena, was shocked to see that the only vodka being sold was that Russian Standard ...I wouldn't even drink that swill if they paid me to drink it! I mean, if you're paying full price for a drink, at least serve something decent quality...I did find a bartender that made excellent margaritas, however (took like 3 minutes for him to mix each one, bottles pouring left & right!) so tequila it was for me. I still cannot figure out why they wouldn't let you take any drinks down to the dance floor, however...had to down my last drink before going there, and then they were also selling drinks down there as well???

Was starting to fill up inside, but I really couldn't dance to the music, too wawa house for me so headed outside to hear the Judge and his set was banging! Couldn't believe how many people were there for Jules already, the stage was packed around 6:30 p.m.! Went to the other side for a brief listen to Robbie Rivera but had to make it back for Gareth and he really took up the energy a notch (or two or three...) What I really loved is that up front center, 3 people from the fence, the crowd was so friendly and everyone was having such a great time! I think the change to 18+ has made a huge difference in this respect, but did not seem to cut back on attendance one bit!

Digweed came on at 11 p.m., bringing more of a dark and mysterious feel, spooky at times and I loved it all. Only downside is that he kicked the volume up like 2x and I saw a lot of people covering their ears during the bone shaking bass. During the last song of Digger's set, the stage crew rolled his complete setup off to the right, we're talking decks, mixer, and record bag and he finished standing at his own decks off to the right while there was another complete setup for Axwel...never seen anything that before, but it worked great! Axwel commented how great it was to be in LA where everyone's outside dancing in October, since it was snowing back in Sweden before he left!

Went back into the Sports Arena, but the whole men's restroom was overflowing and was beyond disgusting, so went back outside to the porta pots which were actually much more hygenic! Heard some good music from the main stage so went over for Axwel and OMG, I have never seen so many people there before...I was going to take a few pics on my way out and kept going, and going, and going to get back behind the crowd, seemed like there were more people there than for EDC!

I was surprised that they were still letting everyone into the Sports Arena right up until 2 a.m., so went back inside for the last part of Carl Cox's set and then the night was over!

Things seemed very organized this year, there was only one entrance to the Sports Arena, but never a line...just a continuous flow of people. The escalators were both "up" only to the exit, so no clusterf*ck there either, and the outside stages were huge with amazing visuals! Nice job, GoVentures.

The video jumps because I ran out of memory after 49 seconds, deleted some files to make space and started recording again. Here's the closing song ->
