anyway this friend of mine is leaving town for the marines in 3 weeks time, but as of 2 weeks ago had noted "yeah my cousin told me before i ship out he'll hook it up with a table one night" so right now it's just a matter of 1) whether or not his cousin/he was lying and [i don't see why...i hadn't even heard of this club til then] and 2) if my friend decides he wants to do it..he has a lot of stuff to do before shipping out

would be cool though.

and 3): you invite my ass..lol

time to play devil's advocate and start some on TA. can't help myself.

where is it written that only people who are obsessed with trance and EDM are allowed to like the music. what is wrong with growing up in affluence? just because you were born into money and can't ID a white label doesn't mean you aren't allowed to like trance.

how is it a big F U to NYC on Tiesto's end? big deal, he booked a venue not called pacha, webster hall, hammerstein, roseland, summer stage, mccarren pool or wherever else, pick a spot. a big F U to NY nightlife? i guess NY truly is a "what have you done for me lately" town.

everyone takes it so personal. here I go again, bitching about people who bitch about stuff. does that make me even worse?

ps what happened to everyone's signatures?

They're more than welcome to come to Club Love or Cielo or Pacha or Electric Zoo to hear some trance. Trance is a music that was made for the masses, and a big room where people can share smiles and high fives (and not business cards and financial advisors) is where it belongs. You don't see Ozzy Osbourne or Marilyn Manson or the Wu Tang Clan playing shows at Tenjune, 1Oak, or Buddha Bar in the Meatpacking District.

I DUNNO WHAT YOU KIDS TALKING ABOUT BUT I WOULD DROP $2K IN A FLASH ANY DAY FOR A TABLE THERE & I AM NOT EVEN CRAZY FOR HIS PERFORMANCES SINCE HIS OLYMPICS ALBUM. HE IS JUST A HERO IN MY BOOK & WHY SHOULDN'T HE SPIN AT LAVA OR ANY OTHER PLACE THAT BRINGS THE SAME HYPE AS ANY OTHER EVENT HE WORKS; WHILE ALL ALONG, HE IS JUST A PROFESSIONAL DJ BOOKED TO PERFORM. I BEEN ALWAYS GAME TO DROP CHEDDAR ON LITTLE LIFE'S PLEASURES LIKE THESE.

not to throw around the term intimate... but maybe that music in an intimate setting might kick ass. maybe it wouldnt. i'll be honest, when we had bobina spin at Lima in DC i did find that I like trance better in a massive room or outdoors

but on the subject of the wu... i think rap is without question the best in tiny venues. rap concerts in stadiums BLOW. 500 ppl is the max i can stand at a rap show
