I don't think the price has anything to do with how long Markus will play. That doesn't mean he won't play long. Has anything been said anywhere yet about how long/when he would play yet? |
I never said that, I'm just saying that I would not hesitate to pay $100 knowing that Schulz would play for 7 - 8 hours.. |

like dave said, this is the price they have been always using..what's the big deal?
clubs here in la cost minimum 100-150 for NYE and you dont even have a legit DJ... |
Avalon has historically been priced much lower (like $50) for Sander or Digweed on NYE.... |

no food - just commenting about your post saying you can spend $100-150 for a party w/o a good dj... the prices for the big LA parties start a lot cheaper :) |

Avalon also has a much higher capacity than Ruby Skye
It's obvious Ruby Skye spent more on the DJ budget this year than previous NYE events, but still kept the ticket price the same. The production they do for NYE is crazy. If you seen the Mardi Gras and Halloween nights. NYE swallows those nights combined in production value. The food is actually pretty good and they make more than enough of it which is usually placed buffet style throughout the venue.
You will be able to go in and out. I don't remember but I want to say they've paused the doors around midnight. I'm not sure.
I don't know how long he will play, but I'm assuming Ruby Skye and Spundae will let him play however long he wants.
In previous NYE events Ruby has went all the way till 7am-9am
Ruby Skye's NYE always sells out in advance, with Markus on the bill I anticipate this will set their advance sell out record for this date. |

at people comlpaining about the ticket price
as far as I can remember these were the last several NYE's-
2009-Collete+DJ Heather
2008-Crystal Method
2007-Bad Boy Bill
and those were all $100 tickets before midnight
DJ Luxor could be playing and they would still charge $100. I am surprised there not charging more this year. |

| The price may be high but it will cut down on SOME of the not so classy people, make it more snobby maybe! |

Ruby has always been a fluffly club though. nothing different... especially with mixed elements involved. |

I would be able to eat $100 worth of food easily.
And I will. :D |

| I wonder if there will be any new (lighting or whatev) upgrades at Ruby when NYE comes. From what I recall, Ruby has always done their upgrades in December. Not every year by any means, but just noticed when they have done it it always seems to be just in time for NYE. |

Kaskade was 2008 :D I remember, we were there. And tickets were over $100 to start. NYE + top 10 DJ + Food at night/next morning. Pretty good deal. |
