Doesn't mean women don't act as bad as men just that society teaches them it's more acceptable to do it indirectly. Which is what she did. Anyone looking for a partner for a long term relationship would view someone having casual sex with many ppl as a negative no matter what their gender is.

If you want to complain that men pick women based on looks then you'd have to also say that its unfair women are drawn to men who make money or are in positions of power.

There is just more of a societal demand in western cultures for women to be proper.

not just western culture, i think that's a common demand on women across the world.

I don't know, my brother has lived in Japan for a while, he says that the attitude there, at least in regards to sex, or sexiness or promiscuity is very lenient.

Like for example, in the US if a girl dresses sexy and walks around and ugly guys give her attention she acts offended, like she is only dressed this way for men she wants to attract... which is a pretty ing retarded mindset.

In Japan a women will dress sexy and the attention she gets is not really a big deal, the intention is to look good for anyone (not saying that she is out to get anyone though). I think the attitude is more relaxed in a lot of ways (and in a lot of ways it isnt as well).

Japan is no wonderland, this is a rather recent change in their culture and there's far more going on beneath the surface.

A "promiscuity-friendly" society that censors sexual organs even in pornographic films is not exactly the open-minded utopia you take it to be ;)

Thats not what I was saying at all. Its just that sex in terms of "omg he/she has lots of sex" is not a big deal. This is mainly because no one talks about it though, which I guess is more of repression than freedom (but if its not a problem for anyone whats the difference?). They don't have all the religious and societal hangups. The same thing in a lot of asian countries.

I have a good laugh when Clifford acts like he is an expert on a topic that he knows nothing of. I'm afraid jerking off to manga doesn't give you any insight into Japanese cultural norms.

This is what my brother tells me, he has lived in Japan for over 2 years now.

The attitude about sex there IS different. It might not be better in a lot of ways, but its not the same, and definitely doesn't have the same societal role it does in the west.

They talk just as much and have as many social hangups. The difference is that one of their social cancers is that they're even more worried than we are about harmony, tatemae all all that jazz, so they don't talk about it at people's faces.

By the way, I reckon more people should do what this girl did. This is invaluable reference material.
