Just a thought. |

Ok so I was having too many issues with cpu speed so I wound up deleting the track completely and starting from scratch lol.
With 1 day left nonetheless. Somehow I got it to work though and although its still 1/4th of what I know I'm capable of I think I can get it finished by tommorow.
I seem to have an issue with making all 90s sounding minimal cheese trance but at this point I really need to just finish a track. I always go for a heavy, modern layered type trance sound than revert back to a more oldschool style. W/e the case I don't really give a , if I come in last at least I tried. |

Robby, for the last ing time, stop saying CPU issues.
It's your absolute piece of ing soundcard, NOT your computer that makes you think you have CPU issues.
Just ing pony up $200 and get a decent ing soundcard rather than constantly bitching about CPU issues or inventing the most convoluted practices (like "stem sessions") and poluting this forum with them.
Sorry, but it would just save so much time and wastet text. |

****CPU ISSUES****
Nothing I post is considered "pollution", in fact, I reverse global warming by 10 years with every 1 post I make.
You should be thanking me that your ass isn't drowning in icebergs right now.
In all seriousness. I don't BELIEVE a soundcard can be causing this big of an issue. But just to prove you wrong, I will get one and save the receipt.
If I get a sound card I'm gonna get like a 3% increase in speed maybe not even. The CPU is where the "heart" is, and although you've explained what a soundcard does to me a hundred thousand times, I need speed.
Whats the point of wasting $200 on a card when I can put that $200 towards a faster CPU? Doesn't it make logical sense I'l get more speed that way?
Ok look... lets not debate this. I'll buy the ing card and if it doesn't work prepare for a new iceage cause thats how much pollution is coming to TA. :D |

Lololol
The only reason I said pollution is that I've seen you moan in at least 4 threads about CPU power, and nearly everyone I know who has switched from onboard sound or soundblaster has seen a very significant (in some cases as much as 40%) less CPU usage.
When you get that new soundcard, you'll realise how much time (and writing) you wasted, struggling with silly things trying to get your system to run fast here's a huge weight around it's ankle.
Just please, whatever you do don;t buy another soundblaster, emu or other piece of - go echo or something of similar uality so you can really see the benefits. |

You think this would do?
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.co...face?sku=245641
This is a pretty good time to get it cause I just finished a big job last week and got some spare cash. I'd rather not go above $400 but if you see anything better def let me know! |

I've come to the conclusion that I've got a lot to improve from my Audigy 2 really..
How would you describe the improvement in going from a Soundblaster to that Audiofire above? To me the world changed a year back when I went from dw to asio. Hahah. My cpu is a 3,2 ghz dualcore, which I think is efficient enough. |

| in my case the limiter did the trick, no noise on ghe breakdown :) i believe when exporting only the processor matters, different is when you are mixing and what you hear doesn't apply to what it is but i just export every few minutes and see how is sounding |

I still remember switching from my 250E audigy platinum to a 100E M-audio audiophile 2496. It was quite a remarkable improvement considering the second was 150Euro cheaper. The difference between the audiophile 2496 and my Audiofire12 was less apparent when I compared them a couple of years ago but that could be due several things (quality of monitors I assume above all). Audiofire is a good buy no doubt. |
