Never done prescriptions for recreation (I find it sooo ing lame) but the GF gets seriously freaked out by turbulance on flights.

Will she also go bat-ing-ape if she drinks with it as well? |

| give her a little bit and dont have her drink on that . i seriously passed out right after posting this thread lol.. it was stupid but necessary i needed a good night sleep that was the only reason i took one. for the last few days ive been wakin up at all weird hours and not getting enough sleep. it did the trick last night i finally got a decent amount of rest. but ill never take that again. just stick to having a few beers that always loosens me up lol. |

| You're really not supposed to drink alcohol when you take benzos because of the synergistic effects. I personally wouldn't want to compound the effects of anything that's already depressing my central nervous system. But hey, people are allowed to take whatever risks they want. One of my friends died this way (alcohol + benzos) btw - and it wasn't intentional. So yeah, be careful. |

Well, I think she'd be happy if she just passed out and slept the whole (12hr) flight, I just don't want her to go postal or anyhtnig like that becuase she had a couple of glasses of wine.
it's really about taking the edge off the nerves so she can get some kip.
A friend also said that when she took Xaxnax she just didn't give a about a bumpy plane ride etc. - just totally chilled her out.
So question 1,what do you think?

| She should be able to get a script from her doc no problem. Even up here it would be easy to get for such a circumstance. She just has to tell her doc she experiences extreme anxiety on long flights and he'll hook her up with a short script. |

| Xanax was such a waste of time for me. If I wanted to pass out I'd go lay in bed not spend $2.50 on a pill that's going to put me to sleep. |

I've never found alprazolam particularly recreational, but they're great when combined with certain drugs and are a fantastic coke/e/stimulant-hangover cure. They're good for coping with withdrawals too, so I've read.

You're an idiot. Benzos in general have withdrawals that can get so bad that you can die from it. Even heroin withdrawals don't have that much severity during the worst of it.
@DJ RANN- you can actually just go to your doctor and tell them you're going to go on your first plane trip and you have extreme fears/stress/anxiety about it, and you'll have a pretty good chance of getting a script of at least .5mg xananx for the anxiety. |
