Avalon shut down (pg. 2)

ing crazy yo. my buddies that work security inside avalon told me that it all went bad when they shut down the music, turned on the lights and announced that everyone had to leave. the kids went crazy, started grabbing everything they could and throwing it at security, bar tenders and everything.
outside, these kids try to act tough with security, mouthing off and . some of them tried to do that with the cops. BAD MOVE! cops don't play that game. some of them kids got there asses whacked :)
told myself it was time to go when i saw the cops pulling out the shotguns loaded with rubber bullets.

i heard it was an 18+ over event last night at avalon... they shut it down even before dada life comes to play. sucks for them
heaven and hell last week turned out pretty good though. it has been a while since my last 21+ massive. good crowd, good music, not too many candyravers at all.
sucks for avalon, i wonder if they r going to be opened tonight for sebastian ingrosso. |

If it was that over crowded, then I can't blame people for getting crazy. Security should never let the place get over capacity at any time for any reason period.
If you paid $$ to get in, and waited in line and all that and then the place gets shut down, that would be major buzz kill. I would want my a refund too.. |

The same happened to us 2 years ago. It was 12:30 am and I was playing. The fire marshall shut us down, we got fined, we reopened the next week, got our capacity extremely reduced for the following three months. Our club was dead after that and we were on probation. After probation was over, we went back to normal and got our capacity permits extended from 250 to 689.

| I just don't know how it was over capacity.... the place was not crowded in any way and the dance floor had plenty of room. at least im getting a refund! |

update - what i saw about refunds was that you had to return your ticket stub and they will give you a ticket for an upcoming friday nite of your choice....
did you have a presale? |

correct. It was under capacity at the time the event was shut down. I don't know what the Fire Marshals were thinking.
I think the Fire Marshal/cops/whoever is just trying to throw their weight around. Could be a new fire marshal or something. |
