Maybe I'm not supposed to be creating a thread for this, but me and my friends have come to montreal for the weekend and are currently trapped in Redlite. Just wondering, has this happened before? Is thois even legal? Menno was so amazing its made it worth it but we're pretty tired and want to go to bed. Has thois happened to anyone here at Redlite? This is sooooo brutal. I definitely will not be returning to this club unless its a dj I'm dying to see. Ridiculous.

Travelling from Toronto to Montreal to go to Redlite, LOL..I could actually walk home from Redlite and still have never been. You guys have way too many top notch trance bookings to make the trip but thats just my opinion.

yes its normal when there's a shooting inside, cops usually close the place down and interview everyone.

Happened to many other places too.

LAVAL- Police arrested a 25-year-old man Saturday morning in connection with a shooting before dawn in an after-hours dance club in Laval.

Police were called to Le Red Lite After Hour at 4:20 a.m, after receiving a telephone call reporting gunfire inside.

When police arrived, they learned a man who had been shot had been brought to hospital by people he knew. The man, 30, is in critical condition.

Le Red Lite After Hour is one of two dance clubs in Laval that don’t serve alcohol and have the right to stay open until noon, Laval police officer Francis Dumais said.

“They’re pretty popular here,” he said.

There are after-hour clubs on the island of Montreal and the South Shore, too.

There were 400 people in Le Red Lite After Hour when police arrived. They cordoned off the area and started interviewed people one by one to find out what happened, before allowing them to leave.

At 10 am, there were still a few people left in the club to be interviewed, said Dumais.

“From what we have learned, the shooting looks to be related to a dispute between street gangs,” said Dumais.
