LOL, what if it's the Cygnus X Remix, which is why I bought the maxi?

I have the original platypus, thank you very much, the one which has a piano playing the beginning. (original remastered)

I don't like the Corsten, Durand or whatever, and the Cygnus remix (the one included in Tiesto's Magik series)

Original one sounds the best.

You are pretty arrogant to falsely claim that.
So you.

Okay, I know Binary Finary created th original 1998, then there was other remixers such as PVD and Gouryella. Perhaps I should have put (Gouryella Remix) to satisfy your needs? Or are you getting on my ass because I didn't name it '2000'?

If you think the songs I like are represented as crap... Then perhaps I should dig deeper into the the older songs.

Lost Tribe - Game Master
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Three N One Mix)
Humate - Love Simulation (Paul Van Dyk mix)
Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel
Sasha - Xpander
Airwave - Alone In The Dark
Armin - Blue Fear
Nalin & Kane - Beachball
The Age of Love - Age of Love

Is 1992-1999 classic enough era for you?

LOL when trolling fails :)

The original wasn't played a lot back then as you can see at the compilations:

Good list.

To me trance classics start about '94 because then I bought this one: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Tran...4/release/47713

Before that there were also some, but I think a lot happened in 1994 regarding trance. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember from that time.

I stand corrected. Still, it's not much of a stretch to assume it'd be the Corsten Remix you were thinking of when the rest of that mini-list holds two Corsten co-produced tunes and a recent Ron van den Bueken cut.

And truthfully, you're not impressing many by still listing trance anthems mostly from the 98-01 period. It's not "digging deep" unearthing tunes endlessly whored out on DJ mixes and compilations. Heck, I've a '92 'techno' compilation that has Age Of Love on it. Poor gal's never had a break gettin' 'er pimp his got'dang money.

I definitely disagree with this. If anything I think it would actually make things worse, because today's producers have access to an almost unfathomable amount of tools, including millions upon millions of field recordings, 1000's of VSTs (most available free of charge), 1000's of sample packs, software emulations of the equipment you speak of etc., etc.

It is talent and innovation that is lacking

I think the real root of the problem for the majority is laziness.

Too lazy to learn how to make sounds preferring presets, too lazy to make their own tracks by using the same engineers, too lazy to hunt down tracks not on DJ play lists, too lazy to check out unknown DJ sets, labels who are too lazy to try and push new sounds and instead requesting you change your sound to be more "current" etc.

Piano playing at the beginning of Madagascar? o.o

Also, LOL at digging deep. There isn't a single song there that is digging deep. Not one inch. Every song you've listened has been a huge hit or been on many large compilations.

Come back and try again, please.

Oh, really?

I sorry I phailed.
I was born in 1992. My knowledge about Trance is not as high as yours.
I sorry :(
You the real deal :)

But yeah, you've heard the original?
JEO
He was born -90, me -89. He still knows more than I do so there are holes in your logic. Don't try too hard to be the guy to know everything about classic trance. Those are tracks that are listed in every corner of the web as the most played trance classics, anyone can "dig" them up.

edit. And I'm sure you've stumbled upon DarkTremor's listology.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

So he's mentioning Age of Love, by many stated as "first true trance track" (original 1990, watch-out-for-lews mix 1992) and you are telling him its BY FAR not digging deep enough. Hit or not has nothing to do with it.

YOU FAIL AND YOU KNOW IT. Troll.

How the is it digging at all when everyone and their dog knows the track?

You are an idiot, but then again we all knew it already.
