Making it in electronic music isn't the easiest task, specifically when there's hundreds of one-hit wonders in the genre. What does help is coming from a city where electronic music is a staple in the nightlife scene. New York, Los Angeles, Detroit and Denver are just a few to name, but no city's nightlife scene is as considerable in electronic music as Miami nightlife. While the city has created big names in the electronic music scene like Oscar G., Ralph Falcon, Cedric Gervais and Robbie Rivera to name a few, there's one DJ-producer that many fail to remember is from the Magic City, but that's more than likely because he's too busy touring the world.
This Saturday night Miami's own Markus Schulz returns to his hometown to play the dance music mecca of the nation, Club Space. You always have to bring your A-game when you play at Miami nightclub Space, but when you're booked at the Terrace you undoubtedly better deliver. It helps that Miami's used to Schulz's sound, so chances are they'll be a throng of his supporters there.
The last time we caught Schulz he played Mansion and had a pretty good response. This time around the pressure is really on. If your set isn't up to par at the Terrace, the crowd will definitely let you know that it's time for some new music.

From Twitter.....MarkusSchulz: Working in the studio today. Cleaning up the track I did in my hotel room in Capetown. Sounds MASSIVE. Can't wait to test it at Space.

Sounds great. Definitely hoping for a bunch of IDs and new Big Room Reconstructions from Markus. The darker & techier the better of course ...

Disappointed I'll be missing this! Everytime Markus is in Chicago I make sure to catch him. I'll say that I am partly responsible for bringing him here the first time.
Question to you all: Why the hell are all the big names relegated to the Terrace now? I loved the terrace too, had some memorable times there, but what the hell is garbage hip-hop doing in the mainroom??? The mainroom was where it was at? You always did Terrace afterhours, but the seeing Markus, Oscar G, AVB, whoever--in the mainroom was appropriate. What gives???

hiphop brings in more money for lp these days. so much so that they remodeled the mainroom. theres now stripper poles and all sorts of other hippity-hoppity crapness. thats no place for trance or hell any edm anymore.
im curious what lps gonna do during wmc with all that.

That's too bad. I guess they renovated the main room but did not renovate the crowd huh? One of the reasons I didn't stop by last time I was down there was the awfulness I saw in line outside (or more like a herd, as there was no line to speak of). I am not an uppity person or anything, but a LITTLE dress code is good no and again. I have many good memories of space however, and if I was down there this weekend, I most certainly would be there for Markus! I'm jealous. Have fun!
