first off the new look space has its upside and downside.

+ the sound system is fantastic on the patio. i didnt leave with my ears pounding and deaf.. it is def finely tuned. no earplugs necessary
+ the patio is totally enclosed (as u all know) it was colder out and it was great with the roof keeping the cold out.. i loved the roof
- the main room sucks ass. what the is up with the stupid horses lol.. it looks like a carnival doesnt fit the "space theme". also hate how the main room is so damn small now and its way more VIP areas and the bars are huge now. dont like where the dj booth was moved to
- techno room was 1000000x better than i remember it. love the video wall there and the patio

good seeing a few people from here. considering im not really too well recieved. saw damon who actually complemented me in his own way ("thought i had died from a disease cause i was so skinny before. wtf lol..and that im not skinny like i used to be now). also nice to see you again fallingmoon. im sure a bunch of you were there but i only knew of course damon and FM

saw heather she was glad to see me. course she was happy as was I that markus finally came back "home." Place was pretty well crowded. not balls to the wall packed like wmc but by 12 patio was pretty damn full. stood by the front markus eventually saw me and pointed at me happy i came out to support.

great to see markus again. so glad for his success. if anyone deserves it its markus

musically, i wish he played more vocals, (ive seen him a lot obviously) but still great to hear trance after all these yrs. he had tons of energy and the crowd was eating it up. multiple "MARKUS" chants throughout the nite. he did play some old school tracks i remembered the words to.( if i remebered the tracks u know they are old). always loved hearing markus at Mama Mia the best but i understand he had to play harder at Space. it was a good set overall

he got on around 12:30 i left by 3:15 as i was with Pili and her friend, Vanessa (from our old job when we worked together) and they were tired. course i would have stayed till he finished but what can you do

oh and in assassin lol (patio bartender).. still the same assassin.. he got me good and intoxicated. between the patron and jagermeister (ugh jager) i tried to pawn off the jager to pilar, but she smelled it and was like no, so i took one for the team .. assasin is in awesome .. felt like old times

overall had fun. crowd pretty much the same as i recall. not really my crowd as i feel old as now compared to the young kids there. still nice to go as it felt like i went back in time at least for one night between the club and markus on decks.

would def go back again for markus (only)..

(didnt see edgar anywhere.. maybe he was spinning elsewhere last nite. got to hit him up on live to see if he went)

All I know is that I can't wait for this set to be aired on GDJB...

I left at 4:15am and the place was still going crazy for Markus.

Many classic tunes... In my opinion, Markus destroyed... Great night.

What a night. All of my peeps were amazed by the turnout and the music. Markus showed that even though he is labeled a "trance" guy, his music is far more than just that.

Bling you missed it, the last 90 mins he turned it up even more. Between 2:30 and 3:00 he brought it down and gave us some time to catch our breaths, replenish our drinks in preparation for the massive ending.

Rank 1- Breathing was a great touch. He even pointed to the sky. Hope you felt that Dark Angel!

Some of those techno tunes he played were insane! What was the track with Silence vocal on it??? I was speaking to some of the bartenders and bouncers and they were even blown away. They said it has been a long time since they had a vibe like that at Space.

Overall the night proved that Markus belongs back at Space as a resident for life!

yeah im sure.. thing is im not a techno person.. never have. thats why i wanted more vocals. i dont go out anymore but not surprised his set was laced with techno considering what i read on all the boards and how everyone has gone that route.

still good times... since i dont do wmc anymore def had to go to this. will come back if he comes back outside wmc

Overall a great set & great night. Place was definitely full, but not overly packed. The temperature was nice throughout the terrace, unless you were in the middle of the floor, where it was a bit overpacked. Getting in through willcall was a breeze @ 12. Yet they did have the main line so close to the willcall/ticket line that I could see some people (like out-of-towners) getting into that line and waiting unnecessarily. Also must mention what a nice vibe & crowd there was at this show. Definitely a much more diverse, different & better crowd than usually shows up to Space IMO. Saw a bunch of TAs, all loving it as much as I was, and it was nice hanging for a bit. And before I forget, BDR we all want to see the video of you and the ghetto smurf :stongue:

On to the music. Markus brought his A-game and dominated Space last night. All I can say is PV-WHO???? that , make Markus a resident now. His 4 hour set progressed nicely. He started a bit slow, but quickly turned up the energy, caught his stride & tore a hole in the roof with a load of tech-trance bangers & good stuff in the first 2 hours. He did bring the tempo down a bit for some of the 3rd hour, but proceeded to bring it back up and definitely finished strong. While the set's foundation was in tech-trance, it also had a good amount of dark melodic trance, some high energy stuff, the hits he is known for playing, just a few vocals to keep the chicks happy, and some nice reworks of classics thrown in for good measure. They included Cosmic Gate - Fire Wire (CG's back to the future remix), Push - Universal Nation (ID remix), Rank 1 - Breathing (Schulz's Coldharbour Remix), and some remix of Sweet Dreams with the most incredible techy breakdown ...

What an amazing night!!!!!!! He annihilated the place :D loved the fact that he went harder at the end. Never saw him hold up the ITWT flag or saw him point to the sky when he played Breathing, guess my vision was wayy too blurred lol overall it was amazing!!! I hate that the roof is closed now but whatever.

Good seeing some of you as usual! I was mostly with Dream Beamz during the beginning and at the end. Never saw EDM-head :( boo you suck lol.

Phenomenal performance....I had a great time. There was a great vibe great energy great crowd and a great performance by Markus...he played some songs that I think had reason for selection such as the space we are the space we were and there was another vocal track that had the theme of home but I don't know the name...I remember telling his brother or fam member cause he looked like him that Markus should come by more often and his response was he thinks he's gonna do it more often so u never know bout a residency
