Confirmed Events between Ultra week and WMC week (pg. 3)

"Puig — who also heads up the WMC's famed Surfcomber Pool Parties — spoke to MTV News Wednesday night and argued that neither artists nor party promoters will even have the ability to properly sustain a pool-party-laced, faux-WMC week centered around the UMF dates. "The city will not give out weekly permits for pool or beach parties outside of WMC [week], which means that there will not be Pool Parties the week of Ultra," he said. "What is Miami without a pool or a beach?" If this is indeed true, then one of the most alluring and popular elements of a potential "UMF Week" would be pushed to the wayside."
Anyone know if that is even true? |

the SURFCOMBER pool parties will surely be during ULTRA week. Apparently during WMC they are booked every day for a gay/lesbian party (hotel and pool).
So Carl Cox is replacing Loco Dice as Luciano's partner @ the Shelborne pool? WOW! |

City of Miami Beach director of tourism and cultural development, Max Sklar told New Times over that phone, "No. That's not accurate." He confirmed that all requested permits will be considered.
That is the tourism director doing his job, it doesnt promise or deny anything. It would be a bad move for him to say no since it would cause a decline in some tourism |

This is in addition to an already confirmed appearance by Crystal Castles the following day on March 26.
